Nice to see Jamie Hyneman in his youth playing this beautiful game (Any Mythbusters fans out there) Honestly though, this was great fun to watch and really well put together. Liked the intro to the clubs as they were used in the beginning. It’s nice to feel an era all encompassing
Agreed! And it was at a clutch moment, too. Funny thing is on the actual footage with audio, I’m giving Nick some caddie advice on where to land the chip and he followed it perfectly. I immediately regretted it.😂
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a fun gem of a course for gutty golf so near to the course we play our featherie golf event each year (Hillcrest Golf Center in Washington, IL)
Fantastic post Christian, kudos all around. Frankly I could watch a video like this everyday. What a capture, thank you so much and please consider a follow-up video of another match sometime soon. Thank you for your hard work.
Thanks, Bill - will do! I really enjoyed making this one and will definitely be making more. And Nick definitely wants a rematch so we’ll make that happen.
Wonderful Cecil B. DeMille production quality with a suspenseful climax more exciting than the heart-pounding moment when the damsel in distress is untied from the train tracks just seconds before the train arrives.
Very nice video Christian. Your ball seemed to really die on the putting greens is that pretty typical of gutty golf balls? But looked like you had a lot of fun making the video.
Thanks, Ben! Yeah, the synthetic gutta balls we’re using don’t roll as well as a modern ball. My ball especially is a slower roller because it’s hand-rolled and hand-hammered. That all said, these greens were a little shaggy. On a faster surface, you wouldn’t be able to notice it as much.
@@sadie6339 😂 We’re still asking ourselves that to this day! That was the yardage according to the scorecard, but they were doing some work on the course when we played and I’m thinking we had an old card that didn’t reflect that hole changing from a par 4 to a 5. Definitely felt long to us.

😂 I’m familiar with Jamie. Glad you enjoyed the film - thanks for watching!
love this
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Nick’s chip on 7 is the shot of 2024 so far!

Really cool idea for a video. I dig it.
Thanks, Scott! Glad you enjoyed it. Probably the most fun I’ve had editing a course vlog.
Absolutely delightful video Christian. The best one yet!
Thanks, Brad! Hoping you and I will have an opportunity to film one together later this summer.
The shot tracer is wonderfully anachronistic, I love it.
😂 yeah, when I saw how it looked in b/w, I knew it was a good idea.
Bravo boys! Who knew golfers sported man buns in the 19th century? Highly entertaining…well done Christian!
Thanks, Mark!
Well done. This course is only a few miles from me.....s.m. Germantown Hills, IL

Great video, something different to the usual TH-cam golf fodder.
A very exciting match, had me on the edge of my seat 'til the end!
Glad you enjoyed it! I think this will be the first of many close matches between me and Nick.
The editing here is so good. Loved it!
Thanks, Brennan! Had a blast putting this one together and I’m looking forward to doing more like it.
Well done boys! Very entertaining. Excellent movie making Christian. Lots of good shots in this match.
Glad you liked it! Had almost as much fun editing this one as I did playing.
By far the most entertaining video you’ve put together! Looks like I missed out on a fun round!
Thanks, Greg! And yeah - you would have made a good fourth. Next time!

@@TheHickoryHacker Fantastic! You'll both soon be silent golf movie stars.
this was awesome ... keep up the good work. Maybe when I get a full set and a few rounds under my belt I can join this elite club!
Thanks, Bobby! And we’d love for you to join us!

Brilliant!
Thanks, Durel! This one was a lot of fun to make. Would love to film one with you sometime, too.
@@TheHickoryHacker Would absolutely love to, pal!

Are you sure that first hole wasn’t a thousand yards long, jeeeesh!

When is the bethpage black video coming??? I’m dying to see that one
Yeah, I’ve been sitting on that footage for too long. I’ll try to get it up on the channel soon!
