This is one that has to be seen multiple times. There’s expert execution, emotion, moves & filming by this entire team. I love how both Kaycee & Jojo’s moves were so robotic in the beginning and seemed to get more fluid as the song progressed - such a beautiful symbol for us women in today’s age... we don’t have to conform, EVER, on whatever society may be coming down on us for. And together we can not only face, but break down stereotypes against us, leaving a better future for our daughters behind us. This song is so incredibly moving and you all did it more than justice 💙

Maybe I’m reading too much into this but in real life Jojo is much older than kaycee and plays probably a mentorship role in her life since kaycee takes a lot of her choreography classes and learns from her and I’m sure Jojo is also inspired by kaycee and how talented and committed she is to dance at such a young age. I love how kaycee is wearing jeans and a bright sweater and she opens up the song/choreography. it seems like it’s paralleling youth, before they’re corrupted by the world. And what media and culture says we should wear, and how we should present outlet bodies or personalities. Or how we should act. And then during Demi’s lyrics Jojo is wearing black and it’s showing more of her body. Which the lyrics talk about beautifully. Which is normal for dance obviously but it goes so well with the contrast of Kaycee’s outfit. Which is very “covered up” for a usual dance video. It seems like Jojo represents the generalization of kind of falling into what the world says about girls needing to be sexy and beautiful to the eye and how we are portrayed as objects. and when they meet in the dance and start dancing together it seems like they’re connecting and trying to tell each other something. Like Kaycee is trying to keep the innocence and ignorance towards what the world tells us, and share it with Jojo. and Jojo is desperately trying to tell kaycee to not come to the “dark side” of influence and corruption and they’re both like grieving and supporting each other because they know that the world ends up being louder in the end. So powerful.

All the women involved in this project (choreography and music) are powerful. I plan on sharing this with my daughters. It's too important for them to miss out on knowing that being a woman (however ONE chooses to define that for themselves) is powerful and valued.
Kaycee is the only dancer I have seen that can mirror jojo so perfectly that is just superb in every way.

Amazing.... apart from the beautiful choreografy and out of this world dancing can we all just take a moment to appreciate the fact that these ladies are dancing barefoot on raw concrete that isn’t even smooth all over. That must be challenging and at times physically painful, especially when the full body is on the floor. I am in awe.
