I was hoping for the full original song, But this was still beautiful enough to actually bring a tear to my eyes. I know people often say “i am legit crying rn”, But I actually had a tear because of how much nostalgia this brought back. I only ever saw the original 90’s trailer like… once maybe twice and it was long after it’s due, But I still love it, and the movie track will never not be the official theme for me.

That's an interesting take, I'd consider the whole kameo system, and their approach to an assist fighter is actually pretty innovative mechanically, considering how little fighting games actually have this sort of thing. Not to mention the story is a completely new take on several old things. If anything, MK11 was nostalgia bait. I think MK1 is actually a really solid step forward, but maybe that's just me
This is a really good trailer. It's reliant to some extent on nostalgia, but I think it manages to communicate the idea regardless of your familiarity with the franchise. The only problem is, I now want Dave Bautista in a Mortal Kombat film, and I'm struggling to figure out who he's play. Maybe Shao Kahn? Maybe Gorro?

i remember being a kid and going to the mall in new orleans on a church trip. we were in the food court and i walked past the arcade and front and center, crowded by what had to be like 150 people, was the very first mortal kombat. somebody had scorpion and they were destroying everybody. all these years later, this game is still killing it. legendary.

My favourite character Shao Kahn has come back looking better than MK11 (my favourite design of his) and he’s got rid of that wrath hammer for a battle axe which looks awesome (I prefer swords as I collect old weapons with a hand made Katana from Japan from a traditional sword maker being my favourite thing in my collection but Kenshi already has a Katana and the axe really suits General Shao). At 41yrs old time seems to fly by but I actually feel like a kid waiting for MK One as time seems to be going slowly like when I was a kid waiting for Christmas

That's an interesting take, I'd consider the whole kameo system, and their approach to an assist fighter is actually pretty innovative mechanically, considering how little fighting games actually have this sort of thing. Not to mention the story is a completely new take on several old things. If anything, MK11 was nostalgia bait. I think MK1 is actually a really solid step forward, but maybe that's just me
This is a really good trailer. It's reliant to some extent on nostalgia, but I think it manages to communicate the idea regardless of your familiarity with the franchise. The only problem is, I now want Dave Bautista in a Mortal Kombat film, and I'm struggling to figure out who he's play. Maybe Shao Kahn? Maybe Gorro?

i remember being a kid and going to the mall in new orleans on a church trip. we were in the food court and i walked past the arcade and front and center, crowded by what had to be like 150 people, was the very first mortal kombat. somebody had scorpion and they were destroying everybody. all these years later, this game is still killing it. legendary.

Best trailer ever! They perfectly recreated the look/feel of the original trailer from the 90's with THE Mortal Kombat Theme Song playing in the background, I love it. And we finally got to see Shang Tsung's in game character model and I have got to say my boy is looking absolutely amazing, 10 out of 10 design.
This gave me a flashback to the original MK trailer from 1992. Had a huge nostalgia smile on my face while watching this. :)
I love how this man just whispers sweet nothings to the dude in the library and it sends shockwaves through the town wrecking property and uniting unhinged violent fighters 😂

Tell me about it the 14th of September can’t come quickly enough!!! My favourite character Shao Kahn has come back looking better than MK11 (my favourite design of his) and he’s got rid of that wrath hammer for a battle axe which looks awesome (I prefer swords as I collect old weapons with a hand made Katana from Japan from a traditional sword maker being my favourite thing in my collection but Kenshi already has a Katana and the axe really suits General Shao). At 41yrs old time seems to fly by but I actually feel like a kid waiting for MK One as time seems to be going slowly like when I was a kid waiting for Christmas
