For Crim’s next deck, he will infiltrate their house and disconnect their internet, going even further into the theme of preventing his opponent from playing the game.
In paper this is a true scholar's deck. Like imagine going to a paper tournament and studying every meta and off meta deck so you can name the cornerstone of each one. It's more psychological warfare at that point.
@@DimT670sure, sigma 6 statistical events happens every day you sit to play 2hs of arena, and that's completely normal. And standard deviations are displaced every 2 games too. Wotc is not even trying to make it smooth.
I dont know if anyone has commented this yet, but in the match at 12:20, I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I believe that Crim could have copied a disallow using the counter activated/triggered ability mode. That would get around Lier's static as it isn't countering a spell. Magic has so many complex interactions, so not surprised it was missed in the moment either. Great video!!
These effects are so underrated, even if first one is a whiff you still can look at opponent's whole deck and with next one you're guaranteed to exile key card of the deck and also know exactly what to play around. Also Stone brain can exile even lands so if someone is land screwed in mono/duo colored deck removing 4 lands can go a really long way.
Should be white, not red. You get access to Ixalan's Binding, Gideon's Intervention, Runed Halo. Not exactly exiling your opponents stuff, but certain making their cards difficult to use.
I played a WU Pioneer deck like that on MTGO a bit, but both Ashiok’s Erasure and Gideon’s Intervention are bugged there, which was pretty unfortunate. (Erasure didn’t prevent them from casting additional copies of the exiled spell, and Intervention didn’t prevent damage correctly if you had multiple copies in play.)
Wow I am truly impressed by the meta knowledge needed for this deck to be efficient. This was way more fun to watch than I thought. Psychological warfare
I've been wanting to play a variant of this in Modern for a long time. I just don't have the time in my life right now to hone it AND study the meta AND go to events haha
@12:40 You could have stayed alive by casting disallow but use it's "Counter triggered ability mode" and copied it to stop both the typhoon triggers. Lier just says spells can't be countered, not abilities.
i made a death and taxes deck for pioneer with a similar concept and is so fun to play. uses all card similar to elite spell binder: seeing this deck in action was very useful.
Why did you concede at 12:24? you are so far from 'GG' You have baral's expertise in Graveyard so bounce the the two 4/4. Brotherhood's end or Yahenni if he casts Dovin's veto. Like it looked bad, but that game was far from over.
They cast the settle on his end step and baral's expertise is a sorcery.and also, Lier makes it so spells can't be countered so dovin's veto does literally nothing
@@Genuinemoonclown He was still not dead if he Iteration into Disallow and stifled both triggers. It buys him enough time to maybe turn around unless I'm missing something
Good in theory. Bad execution. You seemed to get sidetracked from dismantling the opponent's win cons and were focused too much on protecting your creatures at times
You must love his videos if you're engaging with them like this every time. (The algorithm loves it when folks comment) If you really wanted to stick it to him, you'd just go away.
I've never seen someone blown out as hard as game 1, that was incredible.
Crim wins:
Brutality

Not to mention, there’s a ton of information to keep track of in your opponent’s hand and deck if you’re not playing on digital.
@@dementievatz true, I love paper gameplay for that reason. It's very poker esque. Fun to read your opponent's body language as well.
Dang bro, the one deck built to screw over cheesefang and the only video where you run into zero cheesefang
The seemingly arbitrary matchmaking is one of the worst things of MTGA

I love this. I've daydreamed of making this deck over and over again, but then considered the massive wildcard cost. Thank you for running this!
Not gonna lie that felt good watching all those cheese combo decks ninja scoop

That soul read on game one was so brutal. Feller had to resign himself to the Shadow Realm. Amazing.
I made this back in the day in historic before there was slaughter pact. Still lost all the time but damn was it fun to pilot, you love to see it.

i have an exile deck which is just all removal and my wincon is to mill them out with Ashiok or to ping them with Kaya Orzhov Usurper's ultimate
Crim: I Exile My Opponents' Will to Play Magic
Me: Jesus, he is playing Emry Lurker of the Loch in Historic Brawl.

Yeah but grixis is life
yeah but its renowned bolas fanboy crim here
white is some goody tushu cringe. We need the power of Grixis.

I'm not proud of how hard i laughed when Crim said "conspicuous poop"
I used to play an esper version of this before slaughter games was on arena when azorius control was the big bad historic deck, it was so much fun.
You just made so many Hearthstone players.
This was the most Crim deck I've ever seen Crim play 😂
This was great. Top tier Crim content.
I've been wanting to play a variant of this in Modern for a long time. I just don't have the time in my life right now to hone it AND study the meta AND go to events haha
Now this is a fun deck to watch
Damn run that back I was hype for the cheeeeeeeeese dunk
Tasha’s Hideous Laughter could be a legitimate win con in this janky deck. Get rid of the highest CMC cards and go for big exiles with THL

Omg game 1 20 seconds. Perfect.
This deck was a banger, well done.
Definitely would be running Kaya Orzhov Usurper in an esper list like this personally.

I NEED to see the jordans deck because my mono black fair magic reanimator deck needs some BOOSTS
Love this deck. So fun.
I'd watch a 10 hour video of this deck preying on degenerate cheese decks
After looking at the list I ask myself just one question; where's Nicol Bolas?
Crim, if I could like this video more than once I happily would!
With the view differences between crim and seth it seems crim is exiling peoples will to turn on notifications for this channel
Why is Crim so small and is covered by the mic? Is he shy? xD
I think I'd rather play this deck in Esper colors. Swap the Iteration and Brotherhood's End for better panic buttons in Supreme Verdict or Farewell
He hated cheesfang so much, that he build an entire deck against it.
Kaya, Orzhov Usurper is a funny wincon in this deck
This isanti-discard deck level memey savagery. I need more mono-hate decks.
Arena's shitty shuffling algorithm strikes again...
Glorious!
You should take the wandering emperor against U/W
This is my kind of degenerousy.
