  • Swiss chard known as chard is in the beet family. Chard is rich in vitamins K, C, A and magnesium. The leaf blades and leaf stalks can be cooked separately. Swiss chard can be eaten as salad. Swiss chard is delicious when lightly cooked. It is best to avoid taking Swiss chard if one is taking blood thinners.
