It's almost like you have to cleave through the darkness just to find a mere drop of light. Maybe you do. With all that goes on, one loses hope in the world, in themselves. Grief that enraptures you within its wings, clutches you with its talons, preens you with its maw. Though here, in this meadow, there is no grief. There is no anguish, no sorrow. There is just a peaceful quiet. And a smiling friend.
