- Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is a luxury 5 star resort in Carlsbad, California. It’s around 30 minutes drive from downtown San Diego and 10 minutes drive from Legoland. This newly reimagined Park Hyatt Resort just reopened its door in Oct 2020 after an extensive $50M renovation. This resort reminds us of the luxurious beach resorts in south east Asia. How is this compared to the Fairmont? We’re visiting San Diego soon and trying to decide where to stay.
Not sure if you have any particular Fairmont in mind? But I feel this Park Hyatt should be more luxurious than most Fairmonts. It won't be as grand as some of the historic Fairmonts in Canada though.
