That was interesting with how the rate of fire changed in the first few mags and there was this sparking along the gas tube from the block to the chamber as things progressed. Once the sparks got to the chamber was when the failure happened. I wonder what that was. Cool vid!
I have to imagine as the barrel started to deform/sag whatever coating was on there was cooking off as the heat started to spread back towards the chamber. Why it was sparking though? That's weird and hopefully someone with more knowledge about it can chime in.
I think it's prolly that thing where Ian from forgotten weapons said that the gas tube and block are the usually first to fail in continuous fire since gas tubes have not kept up with the times in terms of material but that there are ones that are designed to last longer, just hard to find.
The Ballistic Advantage modern series barrel in this Argos rifle is the same an Aero Precision barrel. So, the results would probably be the same. That being said, it would be interesting to know the meltdown differences between a Ballistic Advantage modern series vs performance series vs premium series barrel.
Great video guys! Awesome to see the Riflespeed Gas control live up to its Duty Grade reputation! Excellent gas block! Fun test, look forward to you guys doing more of these!
Great vid. I did not realize how much I was missing the melt downs until this one. And the geek talk, too. Good luck to IV8888 and Argos Ordnance. I have been watching you guys since you were at Moss. God bless you guys and your family and keep on rockin' in the free world.
Very awesome testing of your own product! I would like to see the testing of something like 300 blackout. Curious as to if a different caliber would have a shorter or longer longevity of continuous fire.
B5 SOPMOD stock and type 23 pistol grip are my favorite. You need a ballistic helmet to go with the ballistic facemask. After 6 mags around the gas block and gas tube started sparking pretty crazy.
That was the video that led me to my first AR, the M&P 15. Now I'm at 7 ARs, and my bank account is drained. It's a money pit endeavor, but I love it. Eric is a creeper these days.
Even though the barrel was actually the only S&W AR part tested (the lower and BCG had to be substituted with full-auto parts), the test made me even morre pleased with my own Sport II.
@@petesheppard1709 only part I don't like is the short(er) handguard behind the A2. Once I build out my Aero I'm gonna switch it to a longer slim style one with the A2 pushed further up
you guys have balls. great product. stood up. no one is ever gonna fire 600 rounds in a firefight in full auto back to back. I'd take that weapon into combat.
Awesome to see it get through that many rounds before failing given the barrel profile and Riflespeed gas block. Haven't seen anybody dump rounds with that block before, so it's awesome to see hold up as well as it did given the firing schedule. Gives it some real credibility to durability, and the ability to replace parts on it is the cherry on top!
Would love to see a meltdown of the HM monoblock barrels. They machine the gasblock as part of the barrel; would love to see durability. Thanks for doing this.
I don't think they've done one with exactly an M4 issued setup. Colt has tested their M4 and the standard M4 went little over 500rds and the M4A1 went little over 900.
Yeah, around the 11 minute mark. It looked like it was half way between the chamber and the gas block. Something ruptured,it doesn't do that just because. I'm thinking there was a little more going on than a leaky gas block and barrel droop.
I just started watching the video and I know you're a little nervous. But remember how Kalashnikov felt before he found out he made one of the best weapons in the world 😁
Big fan of the channel and you guys! I am glad to see this video, when you introduced your weapons line up I wasn't sure if you would do a meltdown on it. Just shows how you stand behind your product and all the work that went into it. As a consumer, it makes me want to buy one. Kudos and thanks for what you do to entertain, inform and speak up for us gun folk!
Good job. Took some guts to test your own product like this. If you guys start offering different handguards, I’m definitely interested. Maybe a dropdown menu choosing barrel profile, handguards, etc….. cmt are excellent parts. And the rifle speed intrigues me lol. A large frame platform would also be interesting in the future. Good guns so far guys. Good job.
Glad to see you guys back out here. I have fallen off somewhat with the gun community over the last few years. I had owned a Windham Weaponry WW-15 that I loved. It seemed to run great, even considering all I usually ran was steel case Wolf Military Classic 62gr. Never seemed to have any failures besides normal ammunition related issues. Hard primers, failure to fire etc. She ran great. And then NJ police got their hands on and destroyed her 😥😮💨
Awesome video cool to see you guys test your product. I'd definitely consider a heavier barrel. I have a couple heavy barrels and honestly cannot tell the difference in weight so I prefer them. Accuracy and heat dissipation being advantages
Congrats my friends....love what you are doing!!! It took balls to melt your own rifle open for all to see. Eric you looking good brother Chad...I tip my hat to you...go get some sleep...lol Godspeed Gentlemen...
So happy to see another melt down video. I’ve got a suppressor coming in for my 11.5in rifle. Pin and weld to get it past 16in. Definitely need to get my self a Riflespeed RS7533.
Honestly not bad that thing was eating. At the beginning in the speed of fire was excellent . Putting you mad scientist behind. I honestly thought you would hit 900 especially being a big fan of your channel.. And the meltdowns are some of my favorite. Kind of hard to beat that Smith and Wesson m&p . But your rate of fire was exceptional... Can't wait to see what the mad scientists come up with next. Sincerely Baker family in Maine..
Eric, you look at least 10 years younger, with the beard shaved off. Clean cut, vast improvement. P.S. Melt down a S&W AR Sporter if possible, there are many out there owned by people that would find it interesting.
Therapist: Clean-Shaven Eric isn’t real, he can’t hurt you.

Well its good to see they got a new co host for the show, it will give Eric a break.
🤣

Even sounds just like him. Probably a voice over
I like full-auto gimp man!🤣
Every gun can't be the POF. Good Job.
I like this new scientist guy, he seems knowledgeable and comfortable in front of the camera. hes going to be a good addition to the channel
He’s one of those guys that you feel like you’ve known forever
My favorite kind of your videos. Respectable to do destructive testing on your own product. Good job.
i second this comment amazing video guys!

HOLY CRAP a clean cut shave with those shades gave us a Woody Harrelson look alike. Who knew?

I believe it’s from the Bleed Off type Gas Block. Usually new blocks leak until residue seals them up after breaking in.
Very interested to learn aswell. I had to go back and watch again!

Thanks for the Meltdown everyone involved! Eric you hardly look recognizable, all clean shaven and fit! Keep up the hard work 👍
Yes, props to you Eric for choosing your path.
Please meltdown an Aero Precision upper next! Keep up the awesome content

Good job chad! A great build!
More meltdown videos, please!!
Eric and Chad y'all rock! Love the meltdown videos. Peace
Enjoyable and respect on the self test. Rifle looks very well built. Nice work👍
LOOKING LEAN AND STRONG!
KEEP IT UP!

Looking good Eric! Keep up the hard work man! Chad I love everything you do for the channel! Can’t wait to see the next meltdown video!
Whoa... someone had a court date! Hope it grows back by winter Eric.
Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II was the record holder for the DI guns IIRC. ~890 rounds before failure.

Awesome gentlemen
Awesome to have another manufacturer of ar15's so close. Will definitely be picking up a few of these. Great job!
Would be interesting to see how a PWS upper performs
I agree, I just got my first PWS this week. I have 4 other piston ARs 3 Sigs and 1 Ruger 6.8 I like them over internal pistons guns.
you guys have balls. great product. stood up. no one is ever gonna fire 600 rounds in a firefight in full auto back to back. I'd take that weapon into combat.

Fantastic to see these meltdown videos again. Please Please do more of them

A meltdown video is always good but you're making me jelly with that ACOG hybrid optic! Good work gentlemen.🇺🇲
Nothing failed in essence a heavier profile barrel would have held it up long got more rounds but it aint a saw so i think it did pretty damn good
Basically why all rifles should have Hanson profile barrels, it’s basically what ol Bendy Bill puts in all of his rifles now too.
The meltdowns are the only few videos I watched from this channel way back in the day glad to have this shown in my feed to bring back memories.
Looks like someone had a confrontation with a lawnmower and lost. 🤣
As a 16 year veteran 911 dispatcher, I approve (actually I love) her response: “Sounds like fun!” Well done, well done! 👍😃
Looking good, Eric! Thanks to you and Chad for all you guys do to support the community. Y’all are good guys
EVERY LAW ABIDING AMERICAN SHOULD HAVE A FULL AUTO LOWER. CHANGE MY MIND
We all agree with that here? You're on a pro gun channel who is gonna try to change your mind lmao..
I'm only a few seconds in, but I'm happy to see this. I can't wait to see how you guys do in the coming years.
20” Barrel Next Chad n Eric 😀 Love The New Rifles Consistent Ejection and Didn’t Even Need To Use a Forward Assist or Wheeler Button 😀😊😀❤️
I can’t tell y’all how proud I am of y’all❤❤ I know Barry is happy with what y’all did
Pretty great guys ! How does a stock GI M4 run ? I'll take a look for past videos .
I don't think they've done one with exactly an M4 issued setup. Colt has tested their M4 and the standard M4 went little over 500rds and the M4A1 went little over 900.

Not hardly. They're charging over $1000 for these rifles and it only made it to 604 rounds
