Well the Pontiac casting isn’t right either ! And I don’t understand are the ultra hots new again! I thought they were doing a flashback to the 80’s till that JAP crap showed up!
Those rims were pretty common back in the 1980s. Although they may not be the most realistic looking ones i like that they are making a slow comeback since they are very nostalgic for me and remind me of my childhood. Also a great set with an interesting mixture of different car types!
The AMC's are the Stars of the set for me. The JDms look pretty great in spakling colors and decals. Who wants realistic stock colors? I'd rather be cruising in one of these. Will surely be getting me a set
Honestly, all cars in this set is getting premium treatment (by adding lamp details). All of them looks good, but the collectors only cared about Civic and Silvia (at least in my country).
Again - Mattel modding old castings but it's nice to see the Brazilian Mopar and the Drift S-14 back ; still don't understand the horrible wheel-track (narrow) on the Camino - WAY too much space in wheel wells. Very Nice photography/cinematography!! 🎸
Why is my Mercury Cougar, the wheel behind it is a skull? is that an error? or how? please explain, friend, oh yes, if you are confused about what I mean, you can see it in my short video
The first set of these were pretty easy to find at Targets in the US, I managed to find the ones I wanted in just a couple visits. Not sure where these are distributed to overseas though if that's your location.
Apparently not at all, I've been waiting forever, there's nowhere to buy them in Germany, and I was so looking forward to these models...very disappointing. I only have 2 originals from the 80s, the BMW M1 and the Porsche 928, both in green with these lightning bolts.
I love all the respect that the Pontiac is getting in these critical comments. The purple car for me looks odd with the yellow tinted windows. Sure it looks like it fits the color motif, but it's just not as realistic, IMHO. Nice set.

Overall they look great. Why that Pontiac doesn’t have Ultra Hot wheels is not only baffling it’s aggravating. I still want the set.
Ngl the ultra hot wheels are the weakest aspect of this series. I get they're a throwback design, but the newer wheels look much better imo.

The Brazilian Dodge Charger and Cougar look fantastic. Hopefully this set sticks around on pegs as long as the first wave did.

Yes it needs a premium version,because in mainline or mainline series the chrome colors doesn't last long.
I haven't seen any Ultra Hots in stores in Germany since I was a child in the 80s. Why don't these models come to Germany? :(
