Hello! I am currently applying for Fall 2020 and HPSP, and your video has been the most helpful resource I have been able to find. Thank you so very much for sharing your experience so far!
Harper Doherty Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! I'll be posting more videos and sharing more information as I go through the program. Please don't be afraid to reach out if you have any questions!
Great video! Hope to commission soon and appreciate how detailed you explained the process for medical students! Hope you’re doing great at your current stage. God bless!
Hi! Thank you so much for this information. Im currently in school to become a CMA and I planned to join the AF In hopes to pursue a medical career next year upon graduating. With my NJROTC background, I was interested in the OCS route, but was going towards the reserves. Somehow, two days ago, I found out about HPSP and now I have another option that I feel best fits me. You are amazing and im glad you made sure to show that you cant join just for the finances. Its hardwork and commitment.
You are such a sweet and smart young lady, may God continue to bless you and guide you. Wishing you all the best in Medical School and continue your path you have a bright future...💐 👍❤️
May I ask how competitive the HPSP scholarship is? You mentioned that having high grades/GPA and a good MCAT score were important but I’m just wondering if you’re more or less guaranteed the scholarship if you meet/exceed their requirements? I just want to know what my odds are 🙂 thank you for the informative video! This is a great resource!
My experience so far is that the Air Force recruiters are very VERY stuck up. Somewhat displaying a superiority complex while the navy is serious and the army is chill and flexible. all three branches are honorable and have the same HPSP benefits. Difference is base location and deployment potential. Physical test during officer school differ with the army being more physically demanding>navy>USAF. But all three would be amazing careers someone who is committed to serve its country. If you do not get the HPSP, MEPS is good for 2 years. But if you commit to one branch, that’s the branch MEPS that you “belong” to. I recommend AF because they are picky. I went through the navy…
Hi thank you so much for this video as someone who’s been wanting to go into the military but also wanting to be in the medical this has helped my tremendously. I also wanted to know if you had to be in the ROTC program while in undergrad?
I need a straight up answer please. If a person gets accepted into Neuro Surgery and they decide flat out that that’s their specialty and “nothing” can change their mind, but the Air Force says they need general doctors and want you to go that rout. Can the they forcefully change your choice for you (you don’t change it yourself they do without your consent)?
Thank you! I was wondering if there’s an age limit? I’m a nontrad premed student applying next year to med school but I’m in my late 20’s 😭. I’m worried I’m too old now
If there is anyone that knows if one could become part of Space Force or Space Corp as a physician, I would really appreciate any information! Thank you!
Zack Mason hahaha not just yet. The space force is still very new and they have a lot to expand on. I expect that in the future with science advances they will eventually need doctors but for now they simply don’t have the demand for a physician so there is no reason to have that as a career choice. Hope this helped
You can apply for the scholarship before getting an acceptance letter. But if you don't get accepted during your application cycle you have to reapply.
I will receive this scholarship in the name of Jesus! Praying for your success girl! Congrats!

Yes they can
I have one question? Would you recommend doing pre-med in college and then joining like the navy?
Would you recommend ROTC after high school or just pay for college and study for MCAT? Just need a bit of insight.
Rotc is a big commitment and it’s student lead for the most part
Does this cover a masters in clinical mental health counseling
Thank you! I was wondering if there’s an age limit? I’m a nontrad premed student applying next year to med school but I’m in my late 20’s 😭. I’m worried I’m too old now
Keeping Going...
Other than High GPA/MCAT is there anything I can do to “for sure” get the HPSP?
How much years we are in the medical school? For the military?
Can this work for those who are already in the service? I want to become a doctor and I joined the service like 6 months ago.
Neajj Yolo Congrats! And I’m pretty positive there are programs in place for that, however that’s above my level of expertise.😅
Do they not have HPSP for PA school anymore?
Keep on keeping on...
Did you have to go through boot camp.

What bachelors degree did you have before taking the mcat
Hey! I am applying for the scholarship currently. What do you want to specialize in? Are you comfortable with being a general practitioner?
Mariah Tate I have no idea what I want to specialize in right now. But, i am confortable with being a general practitioner..
What are the requirements for the scholarship?
Can you use this for a Masters in Public Health
What about space force lol 😂
Felixx Denolo 🤦🏾♀️😂😂

Can Canadians do this in the US military?
ey
Girls sorry to ask but how old re you ?
I was like 19 when this video came out
This might be a dumb question but do you have to go to collage before you go to medical school? Also does the scholarship pay for it?
Sara Koeller unfortunately, yes. the scholarship does not pay for your undergraduate tuition, only medical school.
