    The first tank I've run through my 450MT showed 3.7l/100k on the trip meter, but it used 4.02l/100k by calculation - 12.25l for 304.2km. That's 58.4 miles per (imperial) gallon. My average speed was 43kph.
    Right after the first fill it showed 480km range remaining, which dropped fairly quickly as I rode through traffic to get to the hills. Sitting on 80kph it shows about 2.8 - 3 l/100k burn rate, and at 100kph just over 4l/100k - those are rough numbers that'll obviously change with conditions, road surface, and elevation change.

      I get 107. 116796 mpg from my Meteor 350-city/highway/ off road. I went 362.9 km & used 9.57 litres. My bike is a 2021 Royal Enfield Meteor 350. I wonder if the 450 MT is set too rich on the fuelling as that's not very good at all. I've heard other people say that they're hard on gas as well. They almost sound like they're running too rich-very flat.

      @@frankpinion4937 My Himalayan did the same loop (some city & suburbs, then climbing dirt tracks, then motorway home) at an average speed of 40kph and used 3.09l/100k, so yes it appears the 450MT uses about 1l more per 100k - bearing in mind that this was the first tank of gas in the 450 so it's likely still a little tight. I'm also consciously putting a repeated small load on the motor rather than holding a constant rpm on the motorway, so that won't help. I'll report back after the first service

    1:33 that’s a great time to do some 180* pivot spins.. weight on right leg, flair clutch while you pull backwards on the clutch and the bike will do a 180 with abit of a burnout.

      Will try that one day, probably when I get the crash bars as I'm bound to need to drop it a few times before getting the hang of it.

    That's not brilliant for a 450. My 750 Transalp uses less than that.

    • @slakk5093
      @slakk5093 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    • @outie555
      @outie555  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends though where it's ridden and how I think, but it certainly isn't a fuel miser like my ctx700. That thing has a 660cc engine and uses 3.5L per 100km

      @@outie555 power output, performance under throttle and weight all add up to using fuel...it's the price we pay for having fun; a 450 thoroughbred single cylinder Enduro bike will use around 9-10L per hundred K's and they weigh much less than the 450MT; i am surprised to read the Transalp is more fuel efficient; if true then perhaps the 450MT does need the airbox/exhaust/ECU to be tweaked.

    Too bad fuel efficiency on this bike, that is why I would not get one until CF moto addresses this big issue. I am still considering now the ktm 390 adv and the kawi versys x300 as my next bikes. The bad fuel economy of the cf moto 450mt and the bad chasis design of the RE himi 450 discouraged me to pick them.

    • @outie555
      @outie555  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah fuel could be better but it's a sports bike engine so drinks about 4L per 100km on the road. Makes for a range of at least 400km per 17L tank. Probably max 450km before empty if rode gently.

  • @itsshahsawaar
    @itsshahsawaar 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think better way would he to fill up the tank multiple times and then do on and off road, freeway and city.
    Just full up the tank after every 200km and calculate the average by distance and litres consumed.
    These on meter consumption values were found to be inaccurate.

    I’ve just done a 4,200 mile, 23 day on/off road trip in the US. My average fuel consumption was 3.6 litres per 100km. That’s laden with gear and roughly 50:50 on and off road. I’m not tempted by more weight and lower range.

    They lie about the weight and fuel consumption, my screen shows 4.1L /100km , measured at the gas station, its about 4.6L. That is a lot. My average with about 80kmh speed on the road is about 4.1-4,2L/100km. More then tenere 700, and has about the same KG.
    What a fail of a bike.

    • @outie555
      @outie555  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Is the 4.1L the average fuel consumption of the total km the bike has travelled, or the trip meter?

      @@outie555 Trip, but it was about 500km. And after that I measured it few times in a row, I have a friend that is about 108km from me, so i get full tank, drive to him, and about 102km from my gas station is "his" , and its always much higher then what it shows.
      For that bike, that is to much, just a fail in all aspects but price. Also, my suspension adjustment makes almost no change, even at the dealer and they say its normal, that there is slight change and that is good enough. lol...

    Hi. Two months later I have had my 450MT for about a month. Did all your readings get more accurate after the first service?
    635km now on my third tank top up. currently reading 4.0 L per 100km. A few ks ago it said I had less than 100km left but when I filled the tank it only took 8L. It showed full when I turned the bike back on. I've only done less than 50ks since then but the gauge now says half full and only 235km left. Not very accurate. I'm wondering if a set of the computer at the first service settled yours down?

      @JoseAlvarez-dl3hm วันที่ผ่านมา

      well now he said 4L per 100km, which is 25kmpL which is bad for a 450 since that is the consumption of 650cc and 1000cc bikes

    Wow. Not too be a downer, but I did expect better than 57.3 miles per gallon. My buddy gets around 75mph on his 2021 CB500X. When my DRZ400 was stuck, in get 65ish miles per gallon. Of coarse now i only got 45 miles per gallon due to mods done. Im assuming maybe after it breaks in a bit and things loosen up, it might get a few more MPG.

    • @outie555
      @outie555  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's in the 820mm (standard) height. To lower it it has a lowering link in the rear suspension. You undo a bolt and adjust, then put the bolt back in. I'm too tall to need to do this so I'm sure some other vlogger will make it before I do.

    24.39 km per litre on the 450MT. That's not great! Perhaps it will improve once it's broken in. My last fuel test on my bike it was doing city/ highway & off road was returning 37.92 km per litre. average speed 46 kph is not very fast, although my average running speed off road probably a bit less.

    • @outie555

      @@outie555 if one is worried about fuel use maybe they should take up another hobby/sport..or ride a moped. seriously, the only real reason we need to know how much fuel we use is so when we know we need more go juice...and it's good to know how far you can get on a tank when planning a decent ride; we don't want to get stuck out in the bush having to push the bike home; i've had to do that twice now (30 years of riding) and it aint no fun; last time it happened i stashed the bike in the bush after an hour of pushing with a big hill in front of me and hoped that it was still there when i got back.
