I’d mostly just say their last few releases. Their first few were basically just very technical, but also extremely catchy. Not much of an 8-bit/video game feel, if you ask me
@@nickpietrewicz6460 Im from SA too, we used to play with them in my old bands. They were the first band i've heard of to use an 8 string guitar back in 2010!
SAAME creature and invade is still my favorites. I covered tractorpull and dig a ditch on guitar over 4 years ago and jesus christ they definitely are very techy hahaha
If you want the best of the best of the best just listen these guys. OMG!! you guys put together a genius piece, so brutal, so technical, so interesting and so... perfect. I have to say that I listened to it smiling. It delivers so much happiness. Never heard anything like this before... Very well fucking done guys.
Since _Halfway Human,_ I've discovered *Vitalism.* As far as technical ability and heavy riffs go, they've taken the top spot on my list. Still love WTR immensely, though.
I feel a lot of Character too. Deliverance doesn't follow any stream, but it rather sets one. Personally, this is what I like to listen. In these days many top bands tend to sound pretty much similar. It is difficult to find novelty, together with good sound. But Within the Ruins is here to impress us every time. Love you guys.
This is insanity! The whole song is absolute perfection. Vocals are sick as ever , guitar tone is as tight as can be with perfect harmonies. This should be the blueprint on how to write and record metal.
@@godofwar0678 Am I missing something? The song is in drop A#. You can get this low on 10-52s, even if the strings are a bit sloppy. Don't need a 7 string.

Dang it took forever. I'm dying of over exhaustion from living, but I'm glad Within the ruins has the energy to lift my exhausted body from the ground.
One of the bands out there that never lost it. Even with a new vocalist. This is the best release of 2020 in my honest opinion. Delivered it for sure with "Deliverance".

I had never heard these guys before. Yesterday I overheard someone rocking out to them in his truck waiting for someone to unlock a gate, and I had to know who they were! Very glad I did!
It’s so awesome seeing a band of people that the universe clearly intended to play together. Anyone who’s tried forming a *core* band knows the difficulty of creating a band and music like this
First Breakdown Of Sanity, now you guys. Damn, this song is pure fire!!! I really love that you stuck with Elite/Halfway Human sound, this is what fits you best in my opinion. Welcome back guys!!!
I don't remember how I stumbled upon these guys but, I know it was with the song Tractor Pull from Creature around the time that the album came out, Google Play Music on some metalcore radio while I was mowing my lawn and I just had to stop and push repeat. Metalcore giants WITHIN THE RUINS. My favorite Within The Ruins moment was March 6th 2015 on THE STRONGER THAN FAITH TOUR w/opening band PATH TO MISERY, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, EMMURE, & SUICIDE SILENCE (headlined)
My band Pain Therapy used to open for you guys when you came to Grand Rapids, Michigan to play the Mixtape Lounge and it's awesome to see you guys still making music! Honestly i think this is the best WTR lineup yet!
The things I love the most about WTR is that they are brutal af, the kinda nintendo leads are always amazing and on top of that, Joshua Wickman is giving them such a clean and polished sound, it makes every songs so pleasing to listen to no matter what they do, that's amazing!
Its always so good. . . even after changing singers, still sounds amazing! Joe & Kevin are so tight then add that guitar personality. Game over in the best way : ) Keep it up WTR.

This song sounds more within the ruins than within the ruins
I wasn't expecting to see such accuracy today.
legit sounds like it could be taken off versus which isn't a bad thing IMO. Can't wait for another single.
This is a return to form. They avoided the sellout angle from previous records

True lol
WTR - “Let’s make this song nothing but unusual tones and rhythms.”

the music in the arcade machine is called "8bit tones/music" ;D
