I’ve had the privilege of hearing these guys several times. What a band and player. Their sound is enormous - sinuous, ecstatic and led by one of the baddest electric players on the planet.
Not exactly. This music has American rock musical influence and comes from a different part of Africa then the slaves in the USA did. Regardless, it's great stuff.
the african roots of american blues are associated with western africans, those are berbers (except the bassist and the drummer) and the music is touareg (a subgroup of berbers) , not the same people, not the same culture :)
What a great performance 💪 Greetings from ❤️TENAST❤️ The original name of Tunisia in Tamazight language. To all Taoureg ❤️❤️❤️ And all of Niger. You made all the Amazigh proud. ❤️❤️Tamazgha till we die❤️❤️
I just love Tuareg music and desert blues! Not only here not only on AM radio from Algeria but finally to have a plan to listen locally! Me there with the music and the performance! A dream, very sincere! If not feasible please come to Vienna ASAP! Shukran God bless you!
Who did listen this music like I do .....? & I am still listening ........................................................................................................
bombino was formed and started playing guitar in Tamnerasset in the South of Algeria ... like the Tinariwen band ... and there are more of groups in coming like Imzad and Tarhanin ;)
I have to say , I understand that there might were some tendencies between Bombino and Dan Auerbach but Nomad was so much more focused on its purpose while still retaining that sweet mellow sound of these wonderful Ethiopian roots
IMO, you can hear too much Auerbach in that album. It felt like he was a little heavy handed with the production. I love Dan Auerbach and it was a great album, too, but this one feels much more Bombino's own than any producer's. After the first few chords, I don't hear any of Dave Longstreth's influence.
@@beth12svist yes like USA is beyond the Atlantic and Bombino admit blues jazz and rock influences...Ethiopian music, like jamaican reggae is universal.
c'est rigolo, Bombino traduit en Français ce lui dit Kevin Cole...it's funny, Bombino translates in french what Kevin Cole says..."and so the Bombino group (here) tonight....welcome!"
You have not lived until you've seen these guys in person. 💖♓️
I believe you, I want to so bad
totally agree. I got to see them in a tiny venue , and it was magic !
Après 6 ans aucun algérien n’est venu en com dire que le musicien est de l’Algérie !!!
Vive bambino vive le Niger🇳🇪🇳🇪🇳🇪🇳🇪🇳🇪
So desperate to go now to Mali, Algeria, Niger, Mauritania. These guys inspire dreams and the world can still be magic, for a bit, at least.

he mixes tamashek with few french expressions, like most of maghrebians people. The same in their music, they mix different cultures.
No you're totally wrong, it's a mix but not with French music it's Malian blues mixed with swahili music.
@@dailymotivationalstories1 I was just talking about the lyrics not the music... Who could define "French music" anyway?
