This is amazing information. I would love to see the same run down with a dress shirt\button down. Best ways to deal with oversized sleeve holes when to use darts versus taking this side seam...
Agree with previous comments. This is really interesting stuff. It certainly helps to learn what is and is not possible for alterations as well as the underlying causes of fit/appearance issues. Thank you!
I'm a 40R and 32 waist. Because of my posture and chest shape I'm always getting a crease in the lapels with the correct sized jacket. If I size up then the shoulders become too big. I did find a jacket that fit decently and the lapel crease is a just teeny bit visible at times. Any advice on how to get this tailored or is it at all fixable? Similar to what you mentioned at @8:01 except there's no crease in the button, plenty of room in the waist/trunk.
Amazing video, thank you so much! One thing is, what about messing with the front darts, how would you know when to take it in on the darts or if you can just take in the sides? I've seen you do it on one of your other videos.
Great question! So I almost never take in the front darts. I only did it on that one video because I needed to take it in make on the side, back, and front dart!
The front skirt is a problem that I have. I’ve had a mad to measure suit made to me. (Because I have a bigger stomach) And the jacket came in too big. Im having trouble finding somebody to fix it for me
This is incredible content! So much better than anything else about fit and alterations for men's suits.

You’re welcome!
it would be nice if u made a video about fixing the creasing in pants when standing instead of pants draping nicely with a clean front and back.
Amazing, thanks for sharing these!

What type of interfacing do I use on the back of a lightweight jacket once I have taken in the sides.
Amazing channel subscribed
How do you identify a good altering Taylor who can do all these things..
Great videos! My tailor wants to charge me $500 to either remove the shoulder pads or slim the down. Seems like too much money. Your thoughts. Thanks!
Don't pay it!
