Exactly what I was thinking! I was suprised that she didn't burn the straw to use it that way. If bees were calmed with the smoke first much less of them would attack (and die using the sting 😞) and she wouldn't be chased so much after she took the honey.

You can buy this in asian stores here in the US, but you're more likely to find the black variety. They taste very good with condensed milk as a summer dessert. Sometimes people also put them in boba tea.
