My first time Dota 1 with my friends was so hilarious. The first hero was Terrorblade, and my friend asked me to jungle & build Butterfly, 6 of them. Finished it in 15-20 (barely remembered but super fast). My friend was so surprised and said I got talent to play dota. Yeah, it's just the Butterfly recipe, 6 of them.

Bear in mind that Apex does not only add Agility and Attack Damage, it also increases your Armor. Jugg's armor went from 29 to 40.

All I was thinking while you were farming that skadi and failing to kill the pudge is that you need to take a page of the ember's book and go damage, and then the ember donated a rapier to you and another one and another one. I don't think your standard build would have done it in this game, but ya boy ember got your back :D

ehh admittedly my memories were mostly from the tail end of DotA Allstar, but I'm pretty sure even the recipe-less items are listed in the base. Including helm dom, including rapier etc. They were sort of un-purchasable recipes. They still showed up and had descriptions; descriptions which included how they were made.
Tbh the biggest offender in Juggernaut's shards is the stun one, I feel like by removing it, jugg would be strong but not overpowered, cuz then you have the counter in form of scepter eul etc. But with the stun it completely invalidates any counterplay to omnislash, maybe nerf the atk speed multiplier rare a bit too

First match of dota my bro coached me and had me play axe. It's a 1v1 in w3 so you get tons of gold. He then guided me how to buy phase boots and a vanguard. 30 mins later he comes to check and asks me how is it I haven't won against the AI yet, then he checks my inventory and asks me why I have 5 vanguards

my first dota hero is bristleback, not even viper model exist. and helm of dominator is secret recipe. what i miss about warcraft 3 dota is the easter egg, every version sometimes comes with easter egg like fight ice frog, invoker on secret tavern, a secret hero and item, when everyone remember your nick name and fear you for your skill not the rank that cringe ppl bragging these days.
i remember doom bringer is diablo, pudge is butcher from diablo also, and enigma also... i remember sven named arnold schwasneiger, rikimaru from tenchu, and monkeyking bar is from phantasy star universe series. you know they are old dota player when say KOTL as ezalor, SB as barathum, AM as magina, Sniper as kardel, Dragon knight as davion, etc
7:08 I thought I was the only idiot who did not know how items worked in Dota 1 lol. I was only buying ultimate orbs because they gave me +10 stats. Everything else like a bloodstone sounded amazing, but it would only give me a useless recipe for it with the names of times it requires to build it. But the amount of shops on the map was so big that I didnt bother checking them for the items especially since some of the items had to be build aswell. Back then I only played against bots and I was wondering why I am so bad later in the game ... it was because the bots were getting items while I was saving for my second ultimate orb. Good times.
My first experience in combining items in dota was OK, at least I think so. I just searched for the recipe and went through all the shops and read all the names and their descriptions until I got the item. My item that I knew then were just getting aghanims for the hero if it was available and if not, just all javelins.
I remember venomancer being a decent offlaner back in the day too since you can just farm the jungle

I don't have anybody to explain every single item from recipe to complete item back in dota 1, and I am starting to look after it one by one and writing it down on my little notebook every recipe to complete the item. Still I don't really know what the item does to my hero LOL

I'm older than Baumi and I don't know why he's trying to pretend that people didn't google things when he was 11. I distinctly remember doing internet searches for combo attacks in Legend of Legaia and that game came out in 1998. In 2002, the phrase "did you google her" was used in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, one of the most popular TV shows of the time. People definitely knew to search the internet for this stuff. This just comes off as an egocentric attempt to claim arcane knowledge... when other people were just doing internet searches... lol

You should play a game with your subs and just make it so everyone has to go for the worst legendary upgrade for the hero and try to make it work

This omnislash legendary upgrade has literally zero counters. Jugg is pretty much the broken mix of a caster with who does obscene amounts of right-click damage. If you know what to do, you're pretty much guaranteed to win.
Pudge crapped on him with a ghost scepter for the first half of the game, and I have seen pudge, wk, puck and qop all destroy jugg late. Pretty sure baumi even beat the op omnislash jugg in one or two videos as well. Sure it is an obnoxiously strong upgrade but it isn't unbeatable. I think if baumi wasn't donated 3 divines by ember, that bristle would win too
Wikipedia is a great place to start investigating; so, you look something up there, find x about y and then check for that from other sources. If you don't check thinks somewhere else, you are being naive.
I used to watch ai build up their items and then look for the items they used to upgrade things

Dota 2 models are valve's IP and you technically need permission to use it and on top of that you would be using it for commercial reasons

I disagree on Wikipedia in some cases. Of course all subjective topics are a problem, especially topics that are different in different languages or countries ( like law). But topics like math and physics are very objective and are the same all over the world.

In my opinion is Queen of Pain stronger.
Just farm Sonic Wave damage until it one-shots heroes...
Items: Boots -> Aghanims -> Octarine -> Epic Upgrade Orb -> Tanking Items
Shards: Sonic Wave Upgrades -> Tanking
Octarine Core and Epic Upgrade Orb are optional.
(When getting cooldown reduction shards and already having the top right purple shard)
The problem is Jugger is immune while he ults and only Pudge or Bristle can tank a Jugger ult. Jugger has 2 omnislashes they cast almost instantly and ground targeted you just bounce to nearby enemies automatically. It also stuns for the most of ult duration while ward makes Jugger unkillable unless you auto attack the ward 3 times somehow before Jugger kills you.

tbh this bristle should have killed you easily if only he had like a ghost scepter and euls. most of your damage came from omnislashes and it is a very easy ability to counter
i love Baumi and all but, i have 2.1k mmr on 1x6 and i gotta say, he acts like he knows alot more than he knows to the mod, honestly jugger is far from being a problem, only ppl that do not have long playtime on this mode don't know how to counter him, or ppl that try the same stuff always...

Highest mmr players go for spin over R legendary, like wtf.

ya the spin will steamroll everything early on, just need a diffusal for the slow, plus your building pure agi so omnislash can literally oneshot anyone with less than 5k hp
omnislash build is strong but its way too late game oriented

@@Baumi idk about other ppl but I usually go with diffusal, eblade, buttetfly/manta, basher/nullifier, agi blink and skadi
For neutral trident is bis becuz of the heal amp
You'll need to pressure the opponent hard right after getting the diffusal since at that moment the base dmg from spin is still relevant enough. with ult + 1 spin you should be able to take down anyone and snowball from there

So basically this build only works if you get 4rth wave epic orb being the silence on Spin or agi gain on Spin kills.
And if you get Spin silence you can even rush straight blink ethereal.
After that go bloodstone, yasha/kaya.
And play around your enemy item choice, if they get alot of resistances, get silence nullifier.
If not, you can start getting some kind of sustain, heart or satanic, depending on your necessity of playstyle (for example, you'll need to hit tankier targets like pudge or Huskar, satanic might come in handy)
Afterwards just get full items and bomb blink them with instasilence on Q.
If they bkb you have already gained a bunch of extra agi with the epic orb and on top of that you can literally auto attack and get your spin passively while keeping the ability to auto, different from casting Spin.
