Eventually a fusion spell or plant special summoner would come along that would cause the orphys scorpio into cobra engine making verte for a search and fusion from deck to break it. Honestly, for how lackluster predaplants are as an archetype, they keep coming out with poorly designed cards because of their generic fusion support capabilities. @@reddragon9064 I think the point is the fusion destiny itself. Noone uses red eyes fusion except red eyes deck itself until Dragoon comes up (Neos fusion is also be used but not much since it has no negate no speed2 effect) and this is the same case. Ghostrick Shot engine is an option. Though maybe too early for MD. Maybe some of the metalphose fusion engines. Curios and Knightmare Griffon engines to search any trap. Union carrier shenanigans. Not very many come to mind as consistently playable in MD like Tenyi, or DPE which you already covered.
Honestly one of my favorite engines to run in a deck even with the Celestial ban and limit to 1 copy Fusion Destiny in Master Duel it’s still fairly easy to bring out DPE because of Verte Anaconda
One extra monster that can be used possibly is Disk Commander post-errata I think. If DPE is somehow not the option to go into, then DC can net you the +2 as well as a lvl 1 monster on the field for Linkuriboh
Disk Commander is good for when your opponent manages to banish your DPE after its effect has activated in the GY, which does come up occasionally. Dynatag is probably better just for being useful more often though.
Not really since I don't believe any format has Verte and Dragoon unbanned, and with DPE hard drawing Fusion Destiny isn't a problem, but doing that with Red-Eyes Fusion means to use it you can't Summon that turn in any other ways.
If you are using a E-HERO deck, you can use super polymerization to summon Sunrise or Escuridao and if you have Dark Law alredy on the field, you can get rid of DPE for good
I actually like videos like these in depth detail about meta combos. I feel like Duel Logs should do more videos like this. For the longest time I was wondering why DPE was so good. And people always say it's like Dragoon or it's good because the non target removal. But I never knew about the revival on standby phase to use the effect again, especially comboing off of Artifact Scythe. It's similar to Mirrorjade Dragon when you used it's effect and then get rid of it and then resummon it only to use the effect again.
I've actually been using destiny hero disk commander as my celestial replacement in master duel. If all goes right it doesn't do anything, but if dpe gets destroyed but banished at the same time, you'll be able to summon a destiny hero next turn, just not dpe. So I use that scenario to summon disk commander and draw two. Alternatively if you're playing something like monster reborn you can also use that on disk commander yo draw 2
You should explain the Ojama Engine and how it can very often not only just go +2 during your opponents turn but go +Ojamillion with a single Ojama Blue if you tech in armed dragons
I'm actually using a Trickstar DPE Exorsister engine in master duel right now with all the handtraps i can stick in. DPE is just too good, and between Token collector and Candina, it makes it easy to summon bodies for Mikhailis and Verte, and even Underworld goddess!
I know it's not exactly an engine, but I've always wondered how people were so easily able to abuse Topologic Gumblar Dragon's Extra Link effect, as I didn't come back from my hiatus until Master Rule 5 was bright forth.
Awesome video as always - love this series. Below are a few engines that could maybe be another good video. Invocation, kaiju, rose dragons, magicians souls engine (I don’t think this one is available in MD yet) 💜
drawhand can be much more useful when combined with dark law, as from the banish you have a good guess as to what the opponent is playing and you are now the only one with card advantage, and in this scenario you would have DPE, Dark Law and drawhand on board, so not too hard of a board to make for any deck with the option of playing both DPE and Dark Law (possible tearalaments mixup?)
It feels weird playing Exosisters with the DPE engine (both Celestial-Dasher and Malicious-Denier) in Master Duel. Exosisters are unique in that they can XYZ summon with only a single main deck monster per XYZ summon, so you want to pack your extra deck with Exosister XYZ to make the most of it. But a the same time, DPE is just too good to ignore and the deck does have a tiny bit of extra space for the engine. Celestial-Dasher was good because of the obvious free Pot of Greed, plus the occasional special summoning an Exosister without needing your Normal Summon, but that's banned now. Malicious-Denier seems alright so far, since you just replace the second copy of Fusion Destiny with the second Malicious. I've even cut down my Exosister XYZ a tiny bit to make room in the Extra for a handful of Links - Avramax was always there since you can sometimes make it with all the Exosisters, but now I've added IP:Masq and Lyna the Light Charmer Lustrous. Now I can make Verte into DPE one turn, then next turn go Malicious > Denier > IP:Masq > 2nd Malicious > any Exosister > Lyna > Avramax (with DPE still around) Or if I hard draw Fusion Destiny, I can use Verte instead of Lyna in the later part. I almost want to cut one or two more Exosister XYZ to try to fit in an Apollousa and/or Megaclops, but I haven't really had a need for negates like Apollousa since Exosisters shut the GY off entirely, and I don't really need the extra boss monster in Megaclops when I can IP:Masq-Avramax.
DPE's so brain dead I'm amazed the video was more than two minutes. 7:09 - 7:15 And because Celestial requires less actual thought. Scraps would make an interesting engine video. Scrap Raptor by itself can become any generic Rank 4 Xyz monster, in addition to Needlefiber combos, the various ways it's useful in dinosaurs, and probably several other things I haven't thought of.
Big mistake with the Denier-Mali combo @6:34. Frist banish Malicious from the grave to summon one from the deck then use Denier to top deck the banished Mali then link with Mali to then banish from deck to summon from deck.
I'd be interested in videos that go over a brief explanation of what new archetypes do that come out in the TCG and showing an example afterwards. For example, Tactical Masters was just released giving us 3 new archetypes, Vaylantz, Labrynth, and Runick. Of course.... You could also briefly explain lesser know archetypes as well perhaps.
DPE Engine let’s goooooooo!!! Shoutout D Tactics & Break the Destiny with DPE. I love doing jank plays like that in ranked duels in MD. Pretty funny when it gets the W
This engine has been the bane of my existence in Master Duel. I tried to counter it, but it worked only once. I need to find a better strat to deal with DPE.
So I came across your channel recently and I'm liking the content. However, I'm trying to get a question answered because I've come into some issues trying to experiment with some Fusion Cards in relation to the HERO Archetype. Thankfully games like Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist are answering some of my questions but cards introduced later that are not in that game are still left unanswered until I can play a game that contains them. So I'm just going to ask you for the time being since this is pertinent to many of my fusion monster issues. The stipulation behind Fusion Destiny is that it requires a Destiny Hero to be listed as a potential Fusion Material. Now, is this limited to Fusion Monsters that specifically list DESTINY HERO monsters or does it also allow HERO Fusions that allow any HERO card to to be used including DESTINY HERO cards? This question is going to be pretty helpful to answer for my deck building needs. Thank you for whatever responses you give me.
I'm glad that you included alternatives to DPEs materials, since Celestial is getting banned in Master Duel, and Fusion destiny is getting reduced to 1 copy.
Personally, my DPE replacement was Dynatag. Having a Garnet that can still be used to stave off death for a comeback or add an extra 1000 damage push for game seems too good to pass up for me running it in Striker.
I would like to see a yugioh server that works like smogon for pokemon, with usage tiers regulated by the community. If a card appears in x% of decks in the main tier, it belongs to that tier, otherwise, drops to a lower tier depending on usage there. Each tier would have a governing body of high Elo players, which would make decisions about how to organize the tier, what the procedure is for hitting cards that are too strong, etc. Perhaps even more ambitiously, Smogon can make clauses that can ban specific combos or moves on certain mons. The analogous thing would be the ability to have community moderated card changes. In this case, it's clearly ridiculous that DPE dodges removal by destroying itself. The "council" of this hypothetical server would have the power to, with community approval, change the card so that it could not destroy itself. This would essentially eliminate the problem of power crept cards being useless. They would drop to new lower tiers, where they would potentially shake up old meta games.
@@fishymemes2308 Long story short for this engine you need to have WW (Windwitch) Ice Bell in your opening hand, no monsters on your field and Glass Bell and Snow Bell in your deck. First you summon Ice Bell with her own effect, then special summon a different WW from the deck, which will be Glass Bell. When Glass Bell is summoned, you add a different WW monster from the deck, in this case Snow Bell. Then you special summon Snow Bell with its own effect, since you control at least 2 wind monsters and no non-wind monsters. Tune Ice Bell and Glass Bell into any level 7 Wind Synchro monster of your choice, it can be any of the Clear Wings, Wind Pegasus for backrow removal or WW Winter Bell for extra burn damage. Finally you tune the Level 7 Wind Synchro monster with Snow Bell and into Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon. Upon summoning Crystal Wing, it will gain Snow Bell's lingering effect of being immune to the opponent's destruction effects.
@@fishymemes2308 I didn't specify the finer details, but yes, WW Ice Bell locks you out of summoning stuff from the Extra Deck unless they are level 5 or higher Wind monsters while Glass Bell locks you out of special summoning other monsters except for Wind monsters. Also, Ice Bell has burn damage effects upon summoning them, but I didn't feel the need to specify that part, except it can be used to chain block Glass Bell's search. In other words, the best decks to use the engine are wind based decks, like their home deck, the Windwitch or the Speedroids.
If anyone needs a substitute once celestial gets banned you can use destiny hero malicious or disc commander. Disc commander will let you draw on revival say monster reborn. Or liquid soldiers revival effect. Or malicious is a great discard card for keeper of the dragons, twin twisters, lightning vortex, or any card with a discard cost. Can also foolish burial jt to easily get your second one on the field then normal summon whatever for anaconda. But you will need another high level monster to drop fusion destiny at this point maybe neos if you play neos fusion too.
That shit became a one-card combo in my Skull Servants deck, by either summoning a Wightprincess or Gozuki to send a Wightprince to the GY and other 2 Skull Servants, then summon a 0ATK King of Skull Servants via Wrightprince effect, go into Verte Anaconda (which i didn't knew i already had when i checked my cards lol) and then you guys know how it goes.
-So, which hero can I use instead of celestial for Master Duel? I'm low on gems so I must use what I have- Did't watched until the end MB. How about how archetypes work? I;ve been trying to play Endymion, but I'm having problems figuring the full combo routes. Explain the Halqdon combo. I'm also using Punk Adventure but I don;t how to make the combo too well. These videos are helpful to me as I'm still grasping how modern YGO works, so far, it
If you don't want to replace Celestial with Drawhand, There's also Decider. If he's in GY, He can jump back to your hand and nullify 1 effect damage. It's usually combo with Dynatag's discard from hand to negate 1 battle damage then both player take 1,000 effect damage instead. If there's Decider in GY, You will get him back and doesn't take that 1,000 effect damage while your opponent will. Too bad Dynatag is only level 5, DPE require atleast level 6 HERO monster aside from 1 Destiny HERO.
Not necessarily a suggestion for an engine video, but could you possibly make a video on power creep in the game, especially during the last 5 years or so in the hand trap and link era?
I use Karakuri as in engine, to draw more pieces while doing the Halqdon combo. Keeps the strategy kinda novel and sometimes will end on even more ludicrous boards.
Love the series so far, but if it's possible, could you add a segment on how to beat/counter the engine? I think it would help a lot for those struggling to out some of these.
Small error. The second time you talked about Malicious, you said it summoned itself from gy by banishing from deck. Not a big deal, just thought I'd point it out.
Reminder that on September 1, 2022, the newest changes to the Forbidden and Limited List for Master Duel will take effect so you will no longer be able to use Celestial as part of the combo as that card will be banned. XD
This card bothers me so much in Master Duel... Most of the time i'm doing well and the this comes up... At least i sometimes managed to turn the tables with a lucky Monster Reborn to nab it from their grave and stop it
Boy, a really powerful boss monster that only requires on specific fusion card that sends two monsters from the deck to the grave and is made even easier to get out through verde. Effectively only needed two effect monsters to get out...WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT BEFORE. *Cough* Dark Dragoon *Cough cough*
My favourite counter to DPE is removing it from their grave so they can't target it to resummon. Let them blow up a DPE then monster reborn it, they wont get the DPE back until they destroy it
Could i add this engine to my side deck? Also is dpe lower in price now since its been reprinted cuz ive always wanted to get my hands on it for a long time

Noone uses red eyes fusion except red eyes deck itself until Dragoon comes up (Neos fusion is also be used but not much since it has no negate no speed2 effect) and this is the same case. If a strong card appears to support their archetype and abusable (espacially fusion from deck card), people are gonna find the way to do it over and over again.
@@reversal3628 which just goes into why does konami keep printing obviously broken cards that screw with the meta and have been slowly making it more and more toxic by having decks that just tell the opponent you can no longer play yugioh endless that have specific outs or are also a meta sweat deck in some cases despite that
or create obvious engines by having cards clearly meant to be used in there arctype not be arctype locked in a way that prevents them from being engines you see everyone and there mother run in there decks
it gets really annoying and stale fast when you run into 1k+ decks IN A ROW that all use dpe adventure as there win cons for there otherwise fun decks like your not winning with that deck you made just a 1 card combo that you splashed into it that is not fun to me and not fun to see in every single deck
Love the format, the top 10s have personally got a bit stale, but these are great, keep it up!
Heyyo I love your engine explanations, super helpful with building and countering
Honestly one of my favorite engines to run in a deck even with the Celestial ban and limit to 1 copy Fusion Destiny in Master Duel it’s still fairly easy to bring out DPE because of Verte Anaconda
i want the tearlement and spright engine explained. Keep up the great work!
Since you covered DPE, it only makes sense to cover Dragoon too.
Not really since I don't believe any format has Verte and Dragoon unbanned, and with DPE hard drawing Fusion Destiny isn't a problem, but doing that with Red-Eyes Fusion means to use it you can't Summon that turn in any other ways.
@@ryroller9394 At this point it's just a matter of doing it for records' sake. We've had a LOT of engines made in YGO's history, after all.
If you are using a E-HERO deck, you can use super polymerization to summon Sunrise or Escuridao and if you have Dark Law alredy on the field, you can get rid of DPE for good
Very good content, love it
Dogmatika engine would be a fun topic, maybe windwitch or a history lesson on the brilliant fusion engine
There is a dogmatika engine video already by mr.logs
he already did the dogmatika engine video
Awesome video!
You got the effect of malicious backwards, it summons from the deck by banishing from the GY.
Malicious can be ashed, how you described it it can't.
6:38 wait it special summons another a copy from the deck by banishing the one in GY not the other way around no?
correct.
Drawhand is interesting because you can use Droll & Lock Bird after the draw to lock the opponent out of other draws or searches.
Dark law combos quite nicely with drawhand
Denier can special summon if another destiny hero (or evil hero or whatever) is in the graveyard, not just if you have one on the field.
drawhand can be much more useful when combined with dark law, as from the banish you have a good guess as to what the opponent is playing and you are now the only one with card advantage, and in this scenario you would have DPE, Dark Law and drawhand on board, so not too hard of a board to make for any deck with the option of playing both DPE and Dark Law (possible tearalaments mixup?)
I do that with Malcious Edge. Cause I go into Bane. Very powerful combo.
But you typically don't play dark law in non-hero deck so this combo would only be valid in heroes
@@CrnaStrela I've seen some tearalaments decks run mask change 2 with dark law, but granted they didn't use DPE
A way to effectively stop it would be a good addittion to the video
Now I can make Verte into DPE one turn, then next turn go Malicious > Denier > IP:Masq > 2nd Malicious > any Exosister > Lyna > Avramax (with DPE still around)
Or if I hard draw Fusion Destiny, I can use Verte instead of Lyna in the later part.
Yes very unique being able to xys summon using only one monster 👀
Drawhands effect is optional (in master duel at least) if you just want the body on the field
Drawhand syncs better with darklaw, since darklaw will force a banish from the hand
Duellogsman explaining dpe: just watch all my meme decks where i splash this bad boy
This engine has been the bane of my existence in Master Duel.
I tried to counter it, but it worked only once.
I need to find a better strat to deal with DPE.
It's basically just a less powerful but more persistent version of Dark Dragoon. Called by the Grave and Kaijus work well against it.
Lost wind. Then some kind of removal in Graveyard. It's weakest in the GY.
Ghost Belle and Haunted Mansion can negate DPE from coming back if it goes to the graveyard.
Also cards like BLS - Soldier of Chaos, if summoned properly, can't be destroyed by effects.
The Huge Revolution is Over Trap card
The DPE logs
Good timing on the video.
Thanks for explaining in the first few seconds of the video, can you also explain the PUNK engine in a future video?
Just in time for this verte celestial dasher dpe engine to be illegal in all formats
Fusion Destiny and/or DPE should be banned instead.
Thanks for these kind of videos. Hope you make orcust engine when orcust was meta.
Personally, my DPE replacement was Dynatag. Having a Garnet that can still be used to stave off death for a comeback or add an extra 1000 damage push for game seems too good to pass up for me running it in Striker.
When DPE first came out in MD, that was my choice as well before falling into the standard.
@@Quanze Weirdly enough, I use the Dynatag +1000 effect more often than I ever used the draw 2.
Is it possible to also include ways of countering the combo,
I would like to see a yugioh server that works like smogon for pokemon, with usage tiers regulated by the community.
DPE died just as fast as it blew up. It was amazing to witness.
Windwitch engine, how to bring out a Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon who is immune to destruction effects without using up the normal summon.
Can you please reply to my comment i need to remember what this is called so o can build something with this
@@fishymemes2308
Long story short for this engine you need to have WW (Windwitch) Ice Bell in your opening hand, no monsters on your field and Glass Bell and Snow Bell in your deck.
@@ace-trainer-aj i heard that it also locks you into wind monsters
@@fishymemes2308
I didn't specify the finer details, but yes, WW Ice Bell locks you out of summoning stuff from the Extra Deck unless they are level 5 or higher Wind monsters while Glass Bell locks you out of special summoning other monsters except for Wind monsters.
Farewell celestial. I will miss your draw 2 effect
you read DH Melicious effect wrong.
There's also Disk Commander if you can special summon it from the GY to draw 2
That shit became a one-card combo in my Skull Servants deck, by either summoning a Wightprincess or Gozuki to send a Wightprince to the GY and other 2 Skull Servants, then summon a 0ATK King of Skull Servants via Wrightprince effect, go into Verte Anaconda (which i didn't knew i already had when i checked my cards lol) and then you guys know how it goes.
A future explain engine would be the infiniatracks, and the train combo.
This is the first time I’ve seen a DPE on something other than the Hub
I keep forgetting the pop doesnt target. Thanks for the reminder.
-So, which hero can I use instead of celestial for Master Duel? I'm low on gems so I must use what I have-
Did't watched until the end MB.
Are there any counter plays to this.
I would like a video explaining a car engine. It seems like a good video for the beginning of a specific month.
Reminder that on September 1, 2022, the newest changes to the Forbidden and Limited List for Master Duel will take effect so you will no longer be able to use Celestial as part of the combo as that card will be banned. XD
What good there’s is to do with a Malicious on the field ? It has low stats and doesn’t need to be summon in order to bring out a Fusion Hero
This card bothers me so much in Master Duel... Most of the time i'm doing well and the this comes up... At least i sometimes managed to turn the tables with a lucky Monster Reborn to nab it from their grave and stop it
My pain in the fusion festival, everytime I had a slight lead on the board, BOOM, Fusion Destiny says hello!
Please make a video for the P.U.N.K. engine. I've seen some other guides on it but yours are on a different level.
Let's see who will fill the spot of Celestial after the list takes effect. I say Dynatag
6:35 Special summon malicious from your deck by banishing another copy of itself from the GY
Could you talk about the buster blader engine because that's one engine i've heard about but never seen it or know what exact cards are used for it
should we dubbed these series playlist: "Engine combos explained" by THE duelLogs duellogs??
Would love to hear about any other engines that HEROs use
I'd actually be curious how the prank kid engine works. Apparently it's what makes up the current tier 0 deck rn in master duel.
Let them blow up a DPE then monster reborn it, they wont get the DPE back until they destroy it
I would like to know more about spellbook engine or rokket/rose engine. great video btw.
Could i add this engine to my side deck? Also is dpe lower in price now since its been reprinted cuz ive always wanted to get my hands on it for a long time
I just recently started playing casually. What are some solid counters to DPE?
May this series please soon cover an engine of full-powered SPYRAL/Nekroz (one of those archetypes)?
how good is dpe engine in a mixed hero deck?. the idea of this video is so great as a new player this helps alot.
Can you do a top 10 archtypes with unique mechanics? And by unique mechanics i mean things like idk Superheavy being able to atack from defense position, stuff like that.
