Theis trek initially offers the travelers a moderate terrain, which later gets transformed into a steep trail as one continues to achieve heights. One of the biggest highlights of the Goechala trek is the sunrise scene on the Kanchenjunga range. Even though trekkers are not allowed to the actual Goecha Pass, the view from View Point 1 and Dzongri is worth an arm and a leg!The trail to Goechala is blessed with rhododendron forests.
In spring-summer months of April and May, they burst to life with pink and red flowers! It’s an enormously plesant walk through the wooden-log trails of these jungles!Samiti Lake is another big attraction on the Goechala trek.
The view of the still waters, and the reflection of Mt Pandim in the lake, especially in the early hours, is a visual treat
Itinerary
Day 1 - Yuksam to Tshoka 13 km 6.5 uphill Trek (No Electricity , low Network)
Day 2 - Tshoka - Thansing 13 kms .
It was Continuous ascent till phedang, followed by relatively flat trail to kokchurung for about 4 hours, and a steep ascent to Thansing. Stay well hydrated since there is no water source on the trail today. You might Get AMS if you rush and do not drink plenty of water.
Day 3- 33 km (18 hrs trek ) Started at 3am from Thansing to Goechala view point and back to Tshoka. We reached Tshoka at around 9:30 pm.
Day 4 -13 km Easy and fun filled day . Relax walk followed by a short bath on our way back and we reached Yuksam at 2pm.

bhaisap can I make in 4-5 days too? I have no treaking experience. I am physically fit. I can run 2.5 km in 10 minutes. I also can carry heavy load from childhood. at 18 yr age I carried 35 kg for 2 km ,
@@langietor yes you can do the trek in 5 days however you might need to skip dzongri and also 1 extra days is recommended always if you are planning any trek yourself.
I will go to goechala track in may- june ? Is it the right time ??
You can expect rainfall that time along with muddy slippery trails , it will be good if you like to travel in monsoon. You cannot predict the wether in mountainous these days due to climate change, so do expect rainfall and dusty sky.
could you please which date of may you attempted it? Did u encounter rododendron bloom?
I did it on first week of May , if you go there in middle of April you will get entire trail from Tshoka to kokchurung covered with Rhododendron.

Is it ok to trek Goechala in the last week of May?
Yes you will like it if you love monsoon treks. you can expect little rain , leaches and slippery trails that time .

7 days me pura korna possible hoga vaiya? Guide per day kitna charge korta he? Solo me kitna kharcha ayega budget ke andar? Plz batana vaiya
Guide will cost you around 1000 per day . Solo is not allowed in Goechala . It is possible in 7 days if you can walk for 10-12 hrs a day . If you skip Dzongri la then it can be done at an easy pace in 7 days .
