that hit behind the back is not only dangerous it’s cowardice!
It is the height of cowardice. Face a man or walk off.
He should be out of the league and put in jail
Seriously his NBA career should be over for that.
Don’t push someone then turn your back
People who think Mo is weak for getting knocked out by that are beyond me. Any hit to the head can knock you out if it hits you in the right spot, same way your leg can give out when you get hit on the perennial nerve. Hope this doesn’t leave lasting effects, great video
Beyond you? It’s actually quite easy to understand: people who think he’s weak for getting knocked out literally have no clue about anything. No clue about the human body, no clue about fighting, no clue about contact sports.
People who say this have most likely never been punched, never mind been hit in the back of the head. A punch to the back of the head, that you have no idea is coming is terrifying.
@Hypocrite Troll Bot exactly. I actually don't like Wagner but that was some coward sh*t by Hayes. No one should ever get hurt let alone knocked out and have a big risk of having a permanent injury.
I love how some people were trying to play it off and act like Mo is weak for being knocked out like that. Really shows who never trained a day in their life and who never fought a day in their life as well.
He’s weak because he got knocked out by the push not the punch. He was already out before he got punched
@2299mikey yall act like you can decide what knocks you out lmao. Could be the simplest thing, especially when you're not expecting it. It's obvious you know nothing.
@SirEwic getting knocked out by a push is weak.
he's definitely not weak. much stronger than the average joe imo
@2299mikey you literally have no physical control of how how your brain reacts when you get hit in the head. And a certain hit that knocks you out might be nothing to me and vice versa.
Yet again another amazing injury breakdown. This guy is no joke and is excellent at explaining things on a level that a normal person with no schooling can understand
As someone who does boxing seeing that made me livid. Knowing the danger of a sucker punch especially to the back of the head was scary to see how his body reacted.
Same. Muay Thai ..and I even pull some of my kicks in a match if I see it going to the back of the head of my opponent.
Hayes only got a 3 game suspension.
No disrespect, but as a person who has played a LOT of basketball, what MO Wagner did was not a basketball play AT ALL. It is very dangerous to redirect someone into solid objects when they are in a sprint. Luckily for Killian, he didn't impact anything at full speed or hit the wrong objects. It could've caused him to miss the season, or worst case, be career ending. I don't agree with the melee, but I understand the reaction to a very dirty play. Players know the consequences of those types of plays, so when you CHOOSE to engage in that, be ready for the response.
Didn't even see it in real time but that's one of the most cowardly moves you can pull
Yes he punched him in the back but he was pushed first. It’s retaliation homie. The first push was more cowardly and got him in that situation to begin with.
@D D precisely. He fucked around and found out.
Nah, wagner is the coward one, shoved hayes to the crowd even though he could get the ball first. He's lucky neither of them are injured, though the risk of being a paraplegic might put the fear of God into him
That was a body bump. That wasn’t a push. And Mo tried to check on him
This is what's called a "bitch move". I hope he realizes he'll now have a target on his back for the rest of his playing days.
Doc, after learning about the story of boxer Prichard Colon, I seriously was worried for Moe's health after that hit, good to hear that appareantly wasn't the case, thank you for the knowledge you give us.👏🏻👌🏼
Are you a bot ??😭😭
@aX are you?
Tell the man stop with his CONSTANT DIRTY PLAYS. It’s only a matter of time before someone acts irresponsibly because of Wagners actions. I mean the man has A LOT of dirty plays. Same thing with Smart, Allen and a lot others. He could’ve injured Hayes with that dumb move because he lost the ball. Idk. I barely see Moes younger brother even remotely getting involved in Moes stunts. Idk though.
It was one hit🤦🤦 Prichard took multiple over a long time
I wasn’t concerned lol maybe Moe needs a concussion to finally get it
As a person who has had concussions from both front and rear impact injuries to my skull, I recovered easily from the front impacts, while the single time I was knocked unconscious by a rear impact I was unable to do anything but lay on the couch for two weeks with the worst piercing migraines I’ve ever experienced
Dude, same. Almost exactly the same. Front impact concussion in 2013, was right as rain within a few days. Took an accidental rear-impact kick to my head during MMA training in 2021, and it was about a 3-4 months recovery process, with a lingering effects.
@Ryan Trudell mine wasn't as bad as that, likely due to severity of injury. But yeah there's just something about rear skull impact injuries that our bodies just cannot handle as well
@Brqxton if you touch the back of your head you can see there's a softer spot where your brain and top of your spine are not really very protected by bones and muscle tissue. It's scary to think how easy it is to cause damage in that area. I'm happy both of you are okay because the recovery process from those blows sounds scary too.
@Morales Corner it’s also incredibly dangerous because of the brain stem. It wasn’t uncommon, when rabbit punches were still legal in boxing, to see boxers brain stems get split, or even detached altogether, which would kill the boxers before they had time to be taken out of the ring
I hope your migraines have ceased?? Be okay.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Definitely nice to see this covered and explained. I understand the frustration after being shoulder pushed to the bench, but you should never rabbit punch someone! Hopefully these players are informed about the very serious injuries that can occur with a rabbit punch.
Both players are cowards imo. That was hella dirty by Wagner. IMO someone throwing a 6’5 215 pound dude into a fan that’s like 5’8 is just as bad.
@Ty the push Wagner did is definitely what instigated the rabbit punch, but players need to be informed about the serious danger of a punch to the back of someone's head. Wagner got the suspension/fee as well, and rightfully so. But again players need to be aware of the full outcome of a rabbit punch. More than their career can be ended. Unfortunately quite a large amount still have trouble handling impulse and emotions, especially at a young age when those hormones are still flying everywhere.
@Bill Somebody I agree all I’m saying is both are very bad.
Shouldn’t have turned his back after the body check
There was an incident like this about 15 years ago where I live. There was an adult softball league and after a game some guy was angry and did this to another guy - he ended up killing him with one punch. Scary stuff.
Damn what a beast.
@Tryst Dodge watch yourself
@Sixers Fan I hit kill. You don't even get that in most video games. It's impressive, that's all.
@Olvin G I didn't say it was cool, I said it was impressive. Nuclear weapons are also impressive and I don't find them cool. One punching someone to death is quite a feat.
A few years ago in an Australian cricket match a batter was hit in the back of the head by the ball and was dead a few hours later. That area of the body is so vulnerable and shame on anyone who strikes you with your back turned.
Sadly Hughes was technically dead within second of the blow. A relative of mine was killed by a blow to the back of the head in a school yard in the 70s which lead to Cricket balls being banned in school yards.
I’m primarily an MMA fan, so I’m not squeamish about violent contact in sports, even when the rules don’t allow it. However, some things are so dangerous that they transcend a skirmish; they become criminal. This stuff cannot happen.
Yeah it seems like LEO are too cowardly to actually enforce the law
Exactly what I'm saying only sport I truly care about is mma I'm a huge huge fan of it seeing this shit passes me off so much the dude deserves jail
I feel really bad 😢 for athletes that have to go through this kind of thing in game. Bumps bruises torn ligaments and broken bones are part of sport but this kind of nonsense is truly horrible. These are human beings that have lives to return families that rely on them they feel pain they experience the same human things we do for this to happen this way is messed up. So sorry for him this should never ever occur again. Forget bush league forget cheap shot that guy if he hits him wrong in the head the neck the dude could straight up die out there absolutely pathetic
This was s extreme over reaction of a comment. Its a sport
@Andre King Yes, and it's horrible sportsmanship.
@Andre King Proof you know nothing about sports.
@Andre King Exactly. A mere game shouldn't result in death due to a little kid's tantrum.
thanks for putting this out doc. appreciate the analysis and learned something about these types of injuries.
the good doctor seems to have made a mistake. he said stains to the ligaments and sprains to the tendons, but strain would be to the muscle, and a ligament damage would be a sprain.
One of the reasons why hitting back of the head is not allowed in MMA or Boxing. That shit can leave you dead or even cripple for life.
That's a rest of the season suspension. Way more dangerous than punching someone in the face
disagree. I highly doubt Hayes had any idea a back of the head retaliation was any more dangerous than a front of the head retaliation. Hayes absolutely should face a suspension here, not just a fine, but I doubt he knew the significance of the strike he threw when he went about it.
It still is extremely dangerous, you can't plead ignorance as an excuse.
@hildenbrandt21 bro is a professional athlete it's his job to know basic body risks and functions to stay at top shape and prevent injuries he definitely knew
@Evil Eye Gaming not sure where I said that wasn't the fact. I just dont think a 45-50 game suspension for a first time offender is anywhere near rational.
I saw that Hayes was suspended for 3 games after this brawl. He should've been done for the season in my opinion. It reminds me of the Bertuzzi-Moore incident in the NHL back in 2004.
Hit in the back with an closed fist that’s some bs
Fine his ass and put temp rest of season suspension on his contract. Dudes a clown for doing that.
@Lilbmxman66 AKA x999thHokage nope $100 million fine and banned from basketball and all sport for life.
After that, add a criminal assault charge and jail time.
@Peter T relax killian was pushed into the stands and then hit mo with a mid hit that happened to wobble him. He wasn't trying to paralyze intentionally or had in mind the reprocessions of hitting someone in back of the head.
I personally dealt with a hit to back of my head from football and even though it was not the hardest hit in the world and I didn’t get knocked, I still missed 1.5 months which sucked so much especially when I never had an idea when I would be good.
Are you okay now?🙏🙏🙏👍
No one in the sports world has talked about the danger of what Wagner did. I'm glad someone is talking about it.
That happens 50 times each soccer match because u cant use ur arms to shove
You mean Hayes?
I got hit in the back of the head by a teammate in hs. My coach couldn't understand how I had a concussion but my teammate didn't. She hit the front of her head and didn't get checked out. I got hit in the back, blacked out, had a headache for 2 days, and went to get diagnosed. Back of the head is dangerous af.
Three of my four concussions were hits to the back of my head, and let me tell you they are very, very serious. my last one was a seriously close call as I hit that bump on the back of the head with the full force of my body weight onto the edge of a solid wood chair (a woman moved my chair to go to the bathroom), so when I went to sit, chair wasn't where my butt was, but rather the back of my head. It was a delayed concussion and I remember about 5-10 minutes after, then being completely lifeless but hearing myself throwing up and my sister and her boyfriend carrying my limp body. I'm very lucky and thankful to still be alive after that last one.
Avid fight fan here and was seriously worried for Warner after that back of the head blow. Can’t believe people were making a meme out of this
Because Wagner cheap shot the other guy first. I can’t believe how many people choose to forget what he did that caused the other guy to react the way he did.
@cipherP9 then why hit on a dangerous spot?
@JONAS GO MyVlogs … for one thing most people don’t even know how dangerous hits to the back of the head are. Besides that, in a real fight where 2 guys don’t like each other, the mission is not to care for your opponent. Your question is a terrible one, you could have just used common sense to answer your own question.
Big yikes. Hoping Moe can recover from this
Shouldn’t have shoved a man into the sidelines running full speed. Can’t do that without expecting a retaliation. Moe started the dirty play, and has a history of such…
@keepitrealhomesstfu he flopped his ass off
@keepitrealhomes he barely put his shoulder out. it happens all the time killian is just a wimp
I was watching this game live. Looked like Moe was out for 20-30 seconds and was surrounded by Detroit players. Was a bit scary for a bit. However, even most Detroit teammates were covering him up as the pile around him was chaotic.
I have no idea what Hayes was thinking. He'll likely be suspended for at least a few games you'd think. I get Moe's foul was unnecessary, but Hayes and Diallo just lost their mind. I guess that's what Moe's antics do to people.
As a Magic fan, that was one of the worst games in general I've seen in a while. Detroit did to Orlando what Orlando just did to Boston. They took over the game early, and Orlando was just frustratingly trying to get back in the game with no success. After that incident, the game was called super tight, and basically it just drug on forever.
Glad it's over. Orlando's got a lot of development and team management to do. They'll live to fight another day.
“I have no idea what Hayes was thinking.”
My initial impression was that he was obviously upset after the push, but he stumbles into the bench and so he didn’t see Diallo push Wagner into Stewart. To me, it looks like Hayes thinks Wagner’s getting into it with Stewart, so Hayes goes after Mo, too, even though Stewart’s just holding Mo up at that point.
Of course, not that that justifies anything. I think what Hayes did was absolutely cowardly and clown behavior, and I hope the league comes down hard on him for it.
Suspension should be equal to what was handed out to the players in the malice at the palace. Not the ones that went into the stands. Maybe like the 15 games that was given to Jermaine O’Neal that hit a fan in self defense.
He was actually dazed from Diallo's push before that.
I noticed the same thing…it seemed like he was somewhat limp from the whiplash after Diallo pushed him in the back. Which makes the cheap shot punch even worse
I am shocked that so many people didn't know this was a thing and were making jokes and being very light about it. I live in Australia and grew up hearing horror stories from my family and friends and on the news about people who go out, get drunk, get into an altercation and get hit in the back of the head and never go home. Fairly certain we even have laws about it, I didn't realize so many people were so ignorant about how dangerous it is.
i’ve been hit in the back of my head, not even at 100% and I was completely dazed and barely stayed on my feet. it’s brutal
Hayes is soooo lucky. I thought the NBA was going to get him for like 12 games for that blow. Good you covered this.
Not to mention that it was a 'Spineless ' move by Mr.Hayes
I appreciate that you take the time to make these videos, thank you VERY much!
Dr. Sutterer, something that stood out to me and I was hoping you mentioned it and would love to hear your analysis. It seems to me like Wagner was already compromised before the hit. He seems dazed or sort of 'out of it's before the blow. He just seemed... odd with the way he was standing there and being held up which if true, seems to me to make him more susceptible to the hit Hayes delivered.
Just a thought! Wish there was another video angle that showed his face before the blow.
When you instigate like you’re in a hockey game it’s a matter of time before someone does some upsetting shit to you. Hope he recovers well.
No didn’t realize he was playing against someone going for the worlds greatest actor of 22.
Hayes really out here acting like he was dying so he decided to try and kill a man since his ego was hurt for being a little baby.
Homie should probably take some anger management classes, also stay away from Chris Paul and LeFlopper classes.
You mention whiplash but did not show the attack on Wagner before the forearm. He took a body check in his lower back that was most definitely whiplash, it is how he ended up in bench area in the first place.
Imagine if the kid actually knew how to throw a punch.
how do you get these out so quickly? dudes insane
I was thinking that, too. It would be one thing to just jump on and drop this knowledge, but dude comes professional and with video and graphics in no time!
It isn't like he animated the graphic himself on the spot, it's likely just an anatomy graphic program he has installed for these videos. He just showed it and talked about info he already knows about. Probably took him 10 or 20 minutes to make and edit.
Pretty sure he has a time machine.
RDC world of the medical community
he’s rushed videos that were completely incorrect before so i’m assuming that he rushes to make the most money, seems cheesy but w/e
The size of these men taking cheap shots is absolutely devastating.
Didn't realize the importance of that area, thanks for sharing! Guess it kind of helps explain the death of Dale Earhart in what seemed like a simple collision with the wall, it was the whiplash effect and what it caused to happen.
That's why it's illegal in combat sports
Ohhhhhhh, that makes a lot of sense
What killed Dale Earnhardt Sr was basilar skull fracture
It was not a simple collision into the wall. At those speeds, even what seem like impact the wall at “benign” angles still delivers the a tremendous amount of violent force to the car. And without today’s safety devices for drivers, Ernhardt didn’t have a chance
@Ryan Trudell I should have said seemed like a sliding slow speed impact with the wall, admittedly. In my years of watching racing since the 70's I've seen much harder impacts not have the same outcome. Dale was my dad's favorite driver, he would argue with anyone over Dale's way of driving that many didn't like. I have nothing but fond memories of him arguing with my aunts and uncles over who the best driver was.
I hate to see the dirty push into the bench that could have ended Hayes season that started all this
At least you’re being reasonable not saying what Killian did was right but once you agitate someone like that expect a reaction that is erratic and sometimes violent.
There’s a point where you have to stand up for yourself. Never turn your back on any man that’s threatening you or being aggressive. You can end up dead
To many people don’t understand how vulnerable of a spot it is to hit someone there. It’s the equivalent to a throat punch, eye gouge. It will cause major damage with little force.
I'm curious if you saw some of the other angles of this incident. It seemed like his eyes were closed and his head was wobbly before the blow was struck.
I noticed that. Maybe that was from the push by Diallo.
I was noticing the same thing. Seemed woozy from the initial push in the back. Was wondering about whiplash.
They were. He was out before he got punched. The punch was more of a forearm push. The first push he either got whiplash or got rocked when his head went into the bench players chest
Probably just a reaction to being pushed. It happens fast. That wobbly and eyes closed was like 0.1 seconds long and was probably just a reaction to the push in the back.
I tried convincing people of that right after it happened and everybody thought I was nuts.
In 1984, my brother was killd by a blow to the back of the head when his motorcycle helmet rocked back after a face first collision with a pickup truck abruptly turning into his path. Second only to the side of the head, I think the back of the head is the most vulnerable part of the head. I think even boxing has rules against hitting somebody in the back of the head: "no rabbit punches".
Another great update. Did not really consider blows to the back of the head before and the potential damage.
Hit was scary tonight on Bills game, would love to hear your analysis doc
But can we please explain why he appeared to be unconscious BEFORE Hayes punch? Did he suffer from whiplash from Diallo’s shove?
Please make a video about Damar Hamlin’s collapse. We need help from a doctor like you who can explain his collapse!
Wow didn't realized how serious this was, great info and great video
Honestly his channel has made me react the opposite way. When I saw that blow I was super worried, really glad to hear he seems to be okay.
If you watch it closely before that, it looks like he’s about to lose consciousness already. His body shows like it loosens up once he got shoved
If you really look at it when Diallo hit him initially it looked like he hit his spine. Wagner was already limp when Hayes followed it up by pressing on the same spot before he clubbed him with his forearm to the back of the head. I won't be surprised if he's out for a back issue as well, maybe compress nerve or bruised bone or ribs. Any thoughts or am I tripping?
Back in 2004, I was assaulted in college and hit in the back of my head with a fire extinguisher in nearly the very same place spot. I was sitting down at my desk, typing on my computer and never seen the attack coming. Everything this doctor stated in this video is factual.
Man I’ve got to hear this whole story. Do you mind sharing?
@underground unlimited sure. My roommate at the time assumed I didn't like her. I was mostly into my schooling and not into the in-crowd. And this was during a weird time here in TX when there was this whole Dallas vs Fort Worth madness. Well, they found out I was from Fort Worth and it was pure hell, daily. To be fair, my roommate did tell me she was going to beat my tail yo the point she would kill me but me just being someone who stayed to themselves, I payed it no mind. The way our apartment was set up, my back faced the front door so I never seen the assault coming. I can only recall her telling me moments before, "B, you will die today" but the front door never closed. I was on the phone with my Grandmother the entire time leading to the assault. All I can recall is that I woke up in the hospital. The team of doctors said I had a fracture to my spine as a result of being hit with a fire extinguisher. I had two black eyes. A concussion. It was a total mess to say the least.
Doc I think another reason why this scenario is so dangerous is that Wagner can't see the punch coming. Therefore his neck muscles are not contracted and his brain is shaken around more. This increases the risk for a concussion or even cerebral hemorrhage
I took a punch like that in high school. Twice. Both times my vision went black except for little dots in the center. The first time, I had a stiff neck for 6 months. The second time I was disoriented and tired for the rest of the day, couldn't focus. Both times, I turned around and held my hands up and said "What'd you do that for?" as plain as possible, pretending like I could see. Figured that was the best way to avoid being kicked to death on the cold floor. Never saw my assailant in either case, they both ran away when I didn't react like it even hurt me. And then I proceeded to find a wall and stumble my way to my next classroom and hoped I wouldn't die like the guy at the end of Thunderbolt & Lightfoot. And people wonder why I'm pro home-schooling today.
Bro was having a great season praying for him
that's franz with the great season, but prayers up for sure for moe
Should definitely do the newest injury from last night it’s crazy what happened
I spent this last semester learning and looking at case studies with spinal cord and brain stem issues, so it was really interesting to see something like this in real life. Great video!
The anger I feel watching someone so cowardly and ignorantly punch someone in a very dangerous place when their back is turned
Wagner was in the wrong however you don't punch anyone in the back of the head. That could literally make them have a seizure or even die. It's a basketball game that should never happen. Now if he decided to punch him in his face then okay but an off guard and a back of the head which can cause paralysis seizures or even death is never okay man
How is it ok to punch the guy in his face? This is not MMA this is basketball
@Tiago Zimermann how is it okay to shove someone running at full speed into the crowd?
@anto karman that's a normal basketball play. It's a foul, but it happens all the time in basketball
Dude has been asking for it his whole nba career. Still a very dangerous position to be in. But dang stop putting yourself in it. Bet he learned now.
Sucker or rabbit punch I have encountered once in my life this is like a flashback in my head passing me out and I was still breathing as a teenager that person who did that to me did not have a good life rest in peace from O.D. a few years later.
Yeah Killian has to be suspended for a while. Worse than Ron Artest because it was about as intentional as you can get.
@Zeezydoesit I could say the same thing about your comment lmao
Can you do a video on migraines? It was interesting to see people again questioning whether Pam Oliver was having a stroke during the Dolphins and Packers game. She's been dealing with migraines that affect her speech on camera for some years now.
Rabbit punch is not determined by the angle. It just usually happens when you’re wrapped up.
So coincidentally the hits can land on the back of the head
Would there be a higher likelihood of whiplash with a blow like this? Not necessarily to the back of the head (in terms of MMA) but in this particular scenario, where the person being hit is standing?
I believe another reason blows to the back of the head are concerning is because the person can't see it coming and can't engage muscles to protect the neck from whiplash like forces
Came for the violence , stayed for the education.
Love it 😂😂
I came for the comments
Wow I just realized my concussion I had playing Rugby this year nearly ended me. I was trying to steal the ball in a counter ruck/jackal move when I was taken out by a opposition shoulder to the back of the neck. Usually the offender is red carded but the Ref was on some bullshxt that day
That always made me nervous at the ruck, wide stance, go to secure ball when someone flies in with a shoulder without binding to the ruck or even coming thru the gate. A good amateur official has to police that part of the game. I never understood why they took stamping on the hands and forearms seriously but didn’t always gaf about dangerous clean outs
I am absolutely disgusted with the NBA. They barely suspended his for 3 games. They suspended MO for 2 absolutely ridiculous!!!!
You funny!!!! I'm a Mo Wagner fan, he put Killian in danger when he could have been paralyzed and others also. I guess you don't watch hockey they do it all the time!
Brian Sutterer MD is the GOAT of sports medicine, PERIOD!
I'm surprised he only received a 3 game suspension
So brave hitting the back of someone’s head when that person can’t see you.
So brave pushing someone who is running at high speed into the bench not know how and where he could fall and get injured. They both did something wrong. And he didn’t even punched him he used he forearm.
Stuff like this is why humans propensity for violence is so insane to me. I feel like very few realize how dangerous even one strike can be.
What is crazy is that Hayes only received a 3 game suspension and what i even crazier is that Wagner received 2 game suspension. There seems to be something off with that ruling by the NBA.
Before he was punched in the back of the head. Wagner was woozy from the whiplash from when The first guy hit/pushed him with his shoulder. The punch to the back of the head was just the icing on the cake. Hope Wagner bounces back. 💯
They get paid more in 90 minutes than a whole neighborhood would make in a year and they still can't help but act like that lmao
This incident is reminiscent of the infamous Todd Bertuzzi rabbit punch that led to paralysis.
Yes, but the punch isn't what knocked him out. Watch in slow motion. it's the push that rocks is head initially
The real damage was from all 275 lbs of Bertuzzi in full gear landing on Moore’s neck when he fell down on Moore. His forearm came right down on Moore’s neck, just like doc talked about in this video.
You're wrong Doc. He was out before the forearm to the head.
Wagner looked a little off after the hit from behind from Diallo, before Hayes even hit him. When he collides with the other Piston player he's standing still with his head in a weird position, and then Hayes hits the back of his head. Ugly situation. Diallo should catch a few games, Hayes should catch a LOT of games. Wagner maybe one for the push.
Watch more overhead view in slower speed, and focus on Wagner's head whiplash and hit the Piston player before Hayes hits him.
Edit to add: Baseline angle looking at Detroit bench. I'd say Wagner is out before Hayes hits him. Doesn't lessen or condone Hayes hit by any means.
This is what I noticed too. His body language was off once he collides with the player in front of him
More I look at it, the more I'm convinced he was already out at that point.
In this slow motion video it looks a bit like that but it's just that his head went back from being pushed in the back. It looks odd because it's 0.05 seconds slowed way down so every little bobble looks like he's unconscious. If he was already unconscious from the push (seriously, a mediocre push in the back knocking a guy out, really, you think that?) he would have crumpled.
In real time you can see he's not there, it's why I went back and watched it a bunch. Hopefully the Doc can weigh in :)
Kudos to the Pistons staff who caught Mo as he was falling to the ground.
Tbh I didn’t even know he got knocked out. I thought he was really just try not to get ejected. Hope he’s good
Thanks for the info as always! Definitely going to have to see what caused this scuffle.
Happy holidays everyone! 🙏🏿 be safe out there, call the uber!
If you missed it take a look at the original video closely right after the hit in the back of his head it looks like he actually got knocked out for a few seconds. That's crazy.
He was already knocked out....before the punch
Can you make one on the Hamlin injury??? I want to know what happened
Great video Doc! When I first saw this video I had no idea it was that severe.
Crazy to think that Killian Hayes only got a 3 games suspension for this ...
One other point on way you shouldn't hit in the back of the head is because the back of the brain (the occipital lobe) is responsible for vision, and brain damage to that area can lead to vision issues and permanent blindness
I broke my neck and it was horrible I’m still messed up 2 years later. And the best part was after my car accident. The hospital was going to release me until I said I had pain I couldn’t even stand after being transported, and then that encourage them to actually do x-rays and then I got airlifted to Father hospital so moral of the story is ever hurt your neck. Please get it checked out right away
If you look close, you can see that Doc Sutterer was actually on the Pistons bench breaking up the fight. THAT'S how fast he is with these videos. He knew it was going to happen.
He was also a backup power forward for Detroit.
This is exactly what the Bengals TE did to Bills player Taron Johnson at the start of the game Monday night. He left with a head injury and nothing else was said due to Hamlins injury.
Thank you for getting this video posted so quickly. Keep up the great work 👍
He broke it down too quickly. There are different angles of the event. Wagner was knocked out by bumping heads with Stewart after being pushed from behind by Diallo.
Not only is this a cowardly hit but the danger that could have came from this would be easily win a lawsuit and suspension if not a ban if anything negative happens to this guy
Hey Doc do you know why Moe seemed so woozy even before that hit? Like right after he got shoved into Stewart but before that hit.
Holy crap, he rabbit-punched the man! I didn’t know that.
Hopefully there was some sort of repercussions from the league for that rogue punch
Dude should go to prison for that. That is insane.
Forget a year long suspension, that's assault and wildly dangerous. Fucking sue him
Sue the sh#$ out of him; its the civil way to solve this problem and will establish a deterrent for the thugs if they lose their livelihood.
People die from this in street fights, when someone gets knocked out and falls stiff and hit the back of their head.
I remember a news story about a father go to jail for 10 years on manslaughter charges for punching a guy in the back of the head which killed him after an argument with another parent at a tee ball game.
Aspiring mma fighter, I hope that they start being more strict about back of the head strikes in mma
