@@061romell Not one of my favorite songs. Apparently, Eddie Kendricks felt the same way. Hence why producer wrote “Just My Imagination” especially for Eddie. The “All By Myself” album was supposed to be Eddie’s side solo project while he was still with the group. However, we all know what happened...

God when I was 6, 7, 8, and 9 in the late 60s I listened to all the killer music on the AM radio..The Beatles and The Doors, The Stones, etc and this new psychedelic music coming around in like 1967...But The 5th Dimension, Sly and The Family Stone, The Supremes, The Chambers Brothers, and The Temptations were on that AM stations too..And it seemed like they all got their souls PSYCHEDELIZED...It was cool as shit .I got all the 45s..I couldn't wait to get alittle older and try this LSD my little friends older brothers were telling us about...lol frankm64yroldwhitekid rock fan

Of course I don't know the ages of those who post here, but I'm old enough to recall this era of Black America, and to think that these six men, including David Ruffin or Dennis Edwards were the number one Black vocal group in the world had to be some extreme pressure, considering that their rise occurred while in their twenties; same goes for the Supremes. This is a defining time in America, with the Civil Rights Movement, assassinations, the Vietnam War and Racial discrimination, these young Blacks were thrust into a world that with all of Motown's preparation, all may not have been prepared for, particularly David Ruffin, Paul Williams and Florence Ballard.
