Hi there, I have found this website to be very useful for preparing IB Physics and Maths.. www.physicsimplified.com/1989/08/ib-physics-sl-practice-questions.html Cheers bro,
Thank you so much for that news - it made my day! I hope you go and kick ass in physics - I've got videos for you on all the topics in Physics SL and HL, covering the whole syllabus. Cheers, Mitch
I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart I find your lessons fun I wish you could teach me in school but it is what it is and your jokes always cheer me up thanks
Thank you so much for your kind words! They so much to me. And hey, I can be your virtual teacher - there are playlists I've made where I walk you through every step of every topic. Cheers, Mitch
i could not for the life of me understand this topic until i watched this video!! thank you so much. i have an exam next week, u are truly a life saver
I’ve got my ib exam this Thursday, and up until about a week ago I didn’t realize just how behind I was. Mitch, you’ve been enormously helpful over the past week or so. Thanks so much!!
I found an equation that can help when *finding the length of standing waves :* - For *fixed at both ends* and *open at both ends* , you can use *L=nλ/2* where *n* is equal to *the number of harmonics* - For *open at one end, closed at the other end* , you can use *L=((n-1)+n)λ/4*

Happy to help! Here is an entire folder with physics memes, organised by topic for you: www.dropbox.com/sh/6oyh0ezq1240qq4/AADx5k9poaV9r7oJDUjWo1IHa?dl=0
Isn't it wrong at 7:00? The picture says second and third harmonic, but what is drawn is a 3rd and 5th harmonic, right? For one open end and one closed end, they are a 3rd and 5th it says in our textbook. Is there a reason it is different here?
Hey man, first of all I would really like to thank you for everything you have done, it is really making this whole IB life easier but I got one question. With this new videos you are uploading on these topics, should one watch your new videos instead of the old ones or are the essentially the same? Thanks a lot man, once again!
Yes Andrew, you should watch the latest videos because they are using the current syllabus (and they're even more complete) We are in the process of organizing the TH-cam channel... bear with us in the meantime!
@@radioactivcow we have a website studynova.com where you can buy more videos..like fully solved past IB papers.. or question banks/quizzes (for biology, math, chemistry and of course physics! :)
Yes, that was an error I made. I should really fix it. In the new physics syllabus, i made an updated version of the video here that shows it properly done. th-cam.com/video/AzRiqxM--ag/w-d-xo.html
Sorry if it's too rondom but I just took a look at your comments, why do you always say cheers mitch? also thanks a lot for the lesson, it really helped.
u are wrong about the harmonics for the standing waves with one open end only: there should be no 2nd or even harmonic, ur 2nd harmonic is actually to be the 3rd harmonic. Slight mistake, byt love ur vids!!
you sir are a legend
thanks :) I also recorded worked out IB papers on my revision course here if you are interested studynova.com/paper/physics/

Yes, you are right! For one open and one closed end, the harmonics are only odd numbers. But I'm not sure what is the reason for this.

you are so good mate
