    @celal777 RE: There is a huge difference. Hindus don't simply kiss the statues. They give them food and drink, adorn them with gold, present them gifts, pray to them, etc. These are NOT symbolic acts because these acts are done with the hopes that it will bring them BENEFITS and FAVORS. The second Caliph Umar said of the black stone: “You’re just a stone that does NOT BENEFIT or HARM anyone, and if I hadn’t seen the Prophet (P) kissing you, I would have not done so." (Bukhari)

    @celal777 Uhhh, many Christians themselves say similar things the speaker in this video is saying. It's not about "attacking" anything, it's about embracing the truth.
    And the origin of the black stone is very clear in Islamic history. It was believed to be a meteorite from heaven, the literal Heaven or not is debatable. But what's not debatable is that it has nothing to do with paganism.

      Nothing to do with paganism?
      Circling it , throwing stones at and believing it cures sin?
      Then don’t call Christians pagans when they kiss a cross, build statues of apostles, paint Jesus or Mary or create any artwork related to God.
      Research pre-Islamic Arabian society. It was a pagan religion Islam was born out of.
      Wake up

    @celal777 Wikipedia also says the black stone "fell from Heaven to show Adam & Eve where to build an altar" hence that is the origin. What happened in later times (i.e. the Kaaba being overrun by pagan idols) does not change the monotheistic ORIGIN of the black stone or Kaaba. In fact Muhammad restored the Kaaba to it's true purpose by cleansing it of idols shortly after he re-entered Mecca. Walking around & kissing the stone are purely symbolic with meanings related to monotheism not paganism.

    @celal777 You will find much more relevant information here: wikiislam(dot)net(slash)wiki(slash)Black_Stone
    From my understanding its not mentioned in the Qur'an. This tradition comes from the sayings of Muhammad in hadith literature. Scroll to the bottom of the URL I mentioned to find many of the hadith references.
    With regard to idolatry, there are many SYMBOLIC practices in other religions as well like the Wailing Wall in Judaism, Communion in Catholicism, etc. Is that idolatry?

  • @JR-ju4pg

    The days of the week are named after old pagan gods (Odin, Thor, Frya, Saturn, etc.). Are we to give up these names? It seems like unnecessary nitpicking.
    Valentine’s Day may have a pagan origin, but so what?! People in the modern-day aren’t honoring a wolf or Venus, and for the most part, people aren’t taking part in orgies and promiscuity. People have taken this day to celebrate love and friendship, some of the best qualities that Allah almighty has called upon us to take on.

    SAINT Valentine's day is actually a Catholic feast day in which they celebrate Saint Valentine's who was murdered for his Christian faith and acts against the Emperor. Saint Valentine married Roman soldiers against the orders of the emperor Claudius, who like this man says, did not want his soldiers to marry and made it illegal. Saint Valentine was put in jail for his crime against the law. In jail, he healed Julia of blindness at the request of her father, who worked at the jail. He healed her by praying to God. February 14th is the day he was killed by the Roman Emperor Claudius. Roman Pope Gelasius declared St. Valentine's day at the end of the 5th century. This has nothing to do with the Pagan Holiday! The Pagan Holiday, Lupercalia, was on February 15th. If you celebrate the holiday in it's original intent, which was the sanctity of marriage and God's intent for us to marry, then you are doing this rightly. Yes, the commercialism of it has been taken too far, just like every other holiday. But, if you explain to your children the correct origins of SAINT VALENTINE'S day, you will be teaching the blessings of marriage. Just because the Emperor choose to kill him the day before the pagan holiday, does not make them the same holiday. We need to explain all of the Christian holidays rightly to our children. Easter is not about bunnies, Christmas not about gifts, etc...

    @IslamOnDemand You say this activity is "purely symbolic with meanings related to monotheism not paganism" .. isn't that what Hindus say about their idols ? so this is no different .

  • @celal777
    @celal777 13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @IslamOnDemand -- it says that "Islamic tradition holds that it ... fell to show Adam & Eve etc" ... where is this written ? in the Koran ? my point is that i am a Christian and Valentine's Day does not appear in the Bible and has nothing to do with Christianity ... similarly maybe you should have nothing to do with the IDOLATRY of kissing this meteorite.

  • @celal777
    @celal777 13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @IslamOnDemand ... it probably was a meteorite ... but that is not what i meant when i said "pagan origins" ... the following is from Wikipedia : "The stone was venerated at the Kaaba in pre-Islamic pagan times." .. .so walking around the black stone and kissing it is not pagan and idolatrous ?

    • @sameerhasan8101

    @IslamOnDemand i am a Christian and not a Roman Catholic so my faith springs from the Bible the Word of God : it does not depend on Popes. the Bible teaches that Communion is food eaten (bread and wine) in memory of Jesus's sacrifice. ask a Jew about the Wailing Wall.
