as a uncle to a 2 yr old nephew i always give him small pieces of food i never give him de rest until i am 100% sure his mouth is empty i even tell him"ahh"so he can show me
It’s been 30 years since this happened so Andrew is 34 now. When I saw Andrew choke, I was scared. This happened the week before Mother’s Day and 4 weeks before Memorial Day.
de thing is Kids dont know danger its uptous as adults to help n protect them de good thing is dat he hit de table wit his hand to let his dad know he was choking
Today’s the 28th anniversary of when this happened so Andrew is 32 now. My brother’s name is Andrew. This happened on a Sunday. Delores, his grandmother was hysterical on the phone. I wonder what caused Andrew’s trachea to get narrow. Thank goodness he’s okay. I’m sure he told Phillip “Thank you”. I wonder what Andrew is doing now.
That's why you never eat too fast or stuff it in your mouth, definitely Hot Dogs, Corn, peas, etc, they can make you gag or stop breathing, take your time, don't rush even you are in the rush, you can save it for later or bring it with you, life is more important than anything else
I know the reason he was choking look how much he shoved into his mouth. Sheesh!! I’m glad he’s okay. I think he’ll take smaller bites from now on though. Poor baby he was hungry or how my daughter says hangry.
Omg, NO! A young child should NOT be eating loose corn like that! A child that young wouldn’t even try to chew properly, because they feel the pieces are small enough to go down, but they don’t understand that it will likely go down in clumps; & block every little pocket of air from going in or out! An older child knows the dangers of choking, but definitely not a toddler ... what were the parents thinking?? 🤦♀️🤭🤷♀️
The way he's eating that corn is like they're begging for a reenactment!
Damn, kid slow down!

0:50-0:53 That's exactly what causes you to choke!
0:44 Hurry up! I'm hungry!

Really, I didn't know that
Ugh?! 🤯I almost choked a small corn in my rice. I saved myself with a chair to get it out of my throat. 😌
Its been 29 years since this episode aired I assume Andrew from this episode is married and have a family of his own
If he slowed down, he wouldn't choke! Duh!
And it didn't help any that he had a narrow trachea at the time!

He was a Shoveler Sam and that's why he choked
Teach your kids not to eat too fast

@@AndrewChukin That’s nice to know.
I confess I often ate like a hog in those days. I learned later not to but luckily not the hard way.

Never give babies corn, they could choke and cease breathing.
My birthday

There's only one rule Never give your Child to little or big pieces of food under the age of 4!
You know why teachers want kids not eat to fast because its choking hazzard and could of done hemlich maneuver.

This is why parents (and everyone else) should at least be trained in CPR and the Heimlich maneuver 🙄
