Audio is messed up Zack. Your Microphone or audio mixing is only on the Right side.

Oppo didn't go out of business. They just left the Player market. They concentrate on phones now.

Does this support auro-3d? I have seen this format mentioned more these days. If it does not is there a plan for a future software upgrade to include it?

This unit will pass Auro-3D signals, to any compatible AVR or processor (via HDMI).

Is this player region-locked cause it's a "universal" player 🤔

I have one of these even though you can't complain about the audio video but to update it is a pain in the ass and you get disk vibration on certain disks

What about the Panasonic 9000? I’ve seen multiple people do side-by-side’s against the oppo and the Reavon and the Panasonic has better video and audio quality.

100% agree. I own a 9000 it is everything and more. No need to go Reavon…

@@hiltoncancel2270 Ya just got mine this week and the video and audio quality is amazing. I don’t really get why people are say the ub820 is just as good for home theater less the analog 2 channel dacs and build quality. I had the 820 before this and the 9000 seems to be better in video and audio quality. I ran both of them with video straight to the tv and audio straight to my processor. I wonder if running video separately through HDMI still uses the upgraded separate analog dacs? It made me wonder why he acted like the Reavon was the first replacement for the old oppo considering the 9000’s better video quality almost like he was selling the Reavon and never minding the 9000 if you didn’t know about it.

For some, a possible downside of the Panasonic 9000 is it won't output raw video signals (from the disc). These Reavon players have a "Source Direct" mode, for exactly that purpose. This is extremely useful for anyone using external video processors, or a projector with its own sophisticated video processing.

Still take my Panasonic UB820 for price to performance ratio. Reavon needs to reassess their price at some point. The performance and features don't justify the price tag. Nice player but overpriced.

A Zappitti Signature or Reference media player with onboard storage makes more sense than this thing in my opinion if you can afford the price of admission.

7.1 analog out is useless if you're doing Atmos. Money needlessly spent for features that won't be used seeing as you said you'll be using HDMI out for Atmos processing. Dolby vision is kind of a moot point with a projector as well.

    • @christopherbrown5023

Multichannel analog outputs can still be very useful, for people using older legacy hardware. Not everyone wants to [or can] upgrade their systems, for Atmos. Also, if the DACs in the player are better than the user's AVR or processor ... then the player's analog outputs should be used (in those circumstances).
