I really appreciate the fact that you don't edit out your crashes.

Thanks again for putting another new trail on my radar! Rode it this morning. Awesome. 30 degrees. Frost on the trail. Sweet climbs and super fun. But they should call it the Super Switchback trail for sure.

+Brendan Shepherd Nice! You're on a roll Brendan. Frost and steep switchbacks, what could go wrong??

You don't realize how sharp those switchbacks are until you ride them, especially the first set before the ones in your video

man, doing those switchbacks is next to impossible clipped in for me, impressive. I was on a gravel bike but still, dont think it would improve any for me on a XC bike.

Damn, you did that on a gravel bike? Well done!

@@bengoyette well, we didn’t know, it was our first time on this trail and we didn’t do much research lol! … plus the mustard seed bushes were about a foot overhead and needed a machete to get through some parts!
One and done as they say.

I checked out the topo map for that trail. Some serious climbs! But as I tell my friends, "There is no shame in hiking your bike up the trail."

Yowzza - I think I'd be foot-down on each of those switchbacks!!!!

are you uncliping at the start ? and when is the best tme to do that, I got clips and had a bad crash the first day i got them. looking for some tips .

+SSG. Bullet Yes I was un-clipping the inside foot at each switchback. Normally it wouldn't be necessary but, because it was so tight and had serious consequences, I played it safe. The trick is to use the hips to rotate the bike, while leaning into the turn. Un-clipping helps with the confidence while leaning in and catching a slide. The still clipped-in foot should keep pedaling to maintain momentum.
