Hey Folks A little heads up for those getting this set. There must have been some kind of mistake when it comes to the Berserker Grubs stats. They just don't fit what they have made, and you will probably need to remake the stats yourself.
I know it's kids a nitpick but those goblins are using a slingshot, a sling is the pouch with two strings one whirls around kind of like in the old David and Goliath story from the OT. I agree with you though if any type of monster deserves multiple sets it's the humble goblin. The simple fact that they can be used 8n so many ways makes them the perfect monster! Do you want a goofy creature that loves explosions? Goblin! Want a terrifying green mob of nastiness? Goblin! Want to run your own army of mushroom addicted maniacs that go crazy over a moon and ride on bouncing balls of teeth? Goblin!
This set looks good. I'd say the only worthless minis are the ones riding other goblins.??..anyways I do like the spider riding gobbos. (I wonder where they got that from? GW?) NICE SET.
TH-cam still appears to be processing the HD version. For some reason it’s slow today. If you view it a little later the HD version should be ready. -Theo
How do these goblins match up with whiz kids dungeons and dragons style goblins? I'm talking about on a game table are their size and stature compatible? Are they going to be twice the size or noticeably bulkier? What I'm getting at is if I paint them the same are they going to be interchangeable are they going to stand out? I'm interested in these miniatures and the game but I don't wanna have to spend the money to buy it just to find out I can't use them.
You can see a comparison of Epic Encounters goblins with WizKids goblins at th-cam.com/video/PkL_g-qfGa0/w-d-xo.html and as you can see, they are somewhat larger. If you factor in the terrain they're standing on, it's not a huge difference (they are still on small size bases), but they're at I guess what we would call "heroic" proportions where they're sculpted with exaggerated features to give them more detail.
The Gallant Goblin thank you that was a big help to be honest I didn't even finish this video you're referencing because I didn't like the way the government locked. Lol if I had only stayed a couple more minutes I would've gotten to see my comparison. But thank you in the other video you show this said in the news that the one I'm interested in so this works out perfect. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to answer and pretty quickly at that. And I try to ask for too much but whenever you can give me an answer about the orcs and how big they are compared to whiz kids I would very much appreciate it. But with gratitude let me thank you for doing as much as you have already have a nice day
With respect may I make a suggestion? And obviously feel free to discard this unsolicited advice. Over the last few years I've gotten back into the game because I've introduced it to my children. But always loved this game(D&D) but over the years life got in the way work family responsibility someone. But now that I'm back on collecting miniatures and I keep running into the same brick wall. So many people out there making videos showing all these different things coming out and let me see by far you guys are the best. But very few people show size comparisons or give any kind of a baseline. And the guys that do seem to only compare them to certain miniatures and of course they're always obscure ones or extremely expensive. I've even thought about doing it myself online but it's really just not my thing. If someone wants to compare the sizes of whiz kids reaper bones and all the other big manufacturers with all the new stuff coming out I think it would be a big help to the community to people like me that can't afford to just blindly purchase products and only then find out if they're too big to small or in some other way" not compatible. So like I said you guys are top dogs out there as far as I'm concerned. I deeply respect what you do in the way you do it I only offer this as a way to make your shows just the side of perfect. Either way I'll be there for your next video and the one after that and someone thank you so much for all you've done
Great question! I always do a light zenithal prime though even on preprimed models, it just brings out the details and makes for awesome shading effects!
you are if you're the DM - these encounters are usually owned by a DM - tho a party could invest in a set and rotate turns playing as the monsters/heros

I really dig these boxes. I bought 2 so far and they're really good.
The dragon one was the most disappointing for me. The orcs was so good. I painted em and they came out amazing.

I can't help but feel they took a little inspiration from Gdubs on these, no worries though this world can never have too many awesome gobo minis!

completely disagree - the whimsical stupidity of goblins is captured so well here - unique and one of the reasons to get this set IMO
