This is absolutely great stuff Andrew! Three videos in and can't stop learning (but have to because my little toddler just woke up ;) Long Live the Tubes!

I managed to get the mute working by converting its output to bang and sending that to hot input on a multiply,

I just started to learn pd right now, I find it fascinating. Thank you for your tutorials!
A question: I find it very convenient to have a slider for manual tweaking as well as a number box for exact direct number input. Is it possible to update the slider from the (following) number box without causing a stack overflow?

Again, thx for this great source of knowledge. One thing that I would have found helpful was an explanation of how you got to the GUI you showed at the very beginning (that was almost all knobs and sliders). Maybe you cover it later in the series...but it was a bit of a tease.

Hello Mr. Andrew, now I finised the third lesson and one question came to my mine, how to change the backround of the Pb. I searched and they didn't worked on the newest release of Pd.

    Hello Andrew,
First of all, I really appreciate for your series.
actually, I have a question about bang button part. I was following the video and I've set the Frequency range to 400~1000, and it goes below 400 range when I hit the bang button. is there anything else do I have to set to bang button stay in 400~1000 range?
    Thanks

My patch in the video cuts a few corners. Setting the [osc~ 440] frequency default is a starting value, and is overridden by incoming values. The [random 2000] will produce numbers between 0 and 1999 when banged. To avoid low freqs, put an offset after [random]. For example, [+ 400] or [clip 400 1000].

My immediate thought would be to multiply the output of the toggle by the output of amplitude to mute it

Why does the GUI look like it's from the 1990s? They aren't allowed to update it?
This really looks like it is 20 years behind Cycling 74 Max.
I guess it must be some problem with the project maintainer Miller Puckette.
