Neither I maintain a plane budget and take someovertime when i can to pay for it. Some of my planes are given to me for review but not many. Most I pay full price for like everyone else.
When we had our field, (& being a 100% service connected veteran helps), I set a grand a month to buy anything air. Tx, rx's, planes, etc. WE lost that perfect spot in June to FedEx. After being ran out of perfect spots others flew in, we finally were welcomed to a local church. It's not 'perfect' persay, but it's bigger than our 1st spot. (WE have lite poles now. Those add a degree of intimidation). So, I cut my 'budget 'in half. Not crashed anything, but have wore a couple out. Profile 3d ones. But, we have our own spot & everyone is grateful!
I always match letter or numbers on the foam packaging so ifcI need to ship back it's not a puzzle to repack it. Remove a piece mark it and wear it goes with matching number . Letter or colors. Easy peasy.
