Thanks for your work, sir. I've read "Sick Puppy" (1999) and "Double Whammy" (1987) and, of course, noticed the environmental theme. I happened to pick up both books in thrift stores, years apart, and so did not read them in chronological. A character who appears in both books, and whose name I don't recall (and am too lazy to go look up), is a former Florida governor who leaves office unexpectedly and then disappears to go live in nature. He feels guilty for not protecting the environment more while in office. I'm curious to know in how many of Hiaasen's books this former governor appears. For what it's worth, I wanted to share this.
