Epic..!...I lived in Noosa for 6 years, some time back now, and it was one of the best places I have ever lived at. The surf was fantastic for Longboarders when the swell was smaller, too, and would absolutely go off, as witnessed here, if there was a Low or a cyclone off the coast somewhere. I would bodyboard on the points, and Main Beach shorebreak, and got some really incredible barrels on the Noosa beaches. Sunshine Beach, and Sunrise, Peregian, and Coolum etc would often have great surf also. Mad vid brother.
I learnt to surf at noosa as a kid, on the first point and johnsons. We were there before the cherry venture ran aground..must have been like 1971 when the family moved there..stayed untill 1977..it was crowded in them days, but not like this..i used to head to Noosa for decades when these swells hit. Right now my Rotar cuff in my left shoulder is rooted, can’t lift my left arm. Heres a tip for you blokes..don’t get old..it sucks
1000s of Kooks, mals and sups flying around everywhere. Really takes the fun out of surfing a good Noosa swell. I don’t bother anymore. Rather a 2foot beachie to myself any day of the week. Bring on wave pools I say.
All my friends tell me to come to Hawaii and how great it is. I already know it's the Mecca of surfing and I would go crazy but I also prefer a 2ft wave with a few buddies out in the Caribbean ( my personal Mecca) any day of the week.
There are so many people out that they get so good at knowing when to drop in if a guy isn't going to make it. I surfed there back in 97 through 98 and you'd look down the line at 7 guys going for the same wave. It's hella crowded there because all the other beaches are shut down on the sunny coast during a cyclone.
@@MrGoodYarn Sick! Thanks for the update! Were there many guys charging either of those two spots? Any waves connecting through? When I was there, I heard that could happen sometimes but could be just a legend story.
@@effortlesssurf1839 I love it! I heard about days like that. I had my first long point ride at Granites. It was only about 4 to 6 foot that day but I'll Never forget that ride. I had only been surfing for about a year.
Overall that day was pretty good with not too many drop ins. Same for Friday morning but when the swell dropped and the sweep stopped it was ridiculous how many guys were out there dropping in
Thanks for not ruining this by playing music over it, so good like I'm there watching
Thanks 🙏
The wave at 28:14 was the best wave of the whole video by far. Props to that guy!
That was the first clip too ahahah

Just the waves 🌊
Sweet vid bro. I was up there the day after this was taken. It was not as consistently big as that but still f'ing awesome.
The morning was sick on the Friday
If dropping in was a sport, ozzies would be world champs

Yeah the wave where 3 blokes get barreled, think the 3rd dude could've seen the first 2 were chew'd!!
That opening wave was my dream ride.
Lots of people pulling in for the barrels even when they’re not there ahaha, so many good cutback sections gone untouched !!
STARSEED EVOLUTION exactly what I was thinking. Wasted waves
So good without music
That first wave is fucking bonkers. I thought there was no way he'd make it out.
Fearlessly driving into those pits............good on ya mates!
First barrell was pretty unbelievable.
that first barrel are you fkn kidding me..?? 11 out of 10 my man fmd..!!
28:14 is quite impressive.
Harrison’s wave was fucking incredible
So many good barrels ruined by dropping in gronks.
what a bummer
what camera was it filmed with?
IPhone X :)
I'd like to see what Granites was doing or Tea Tree.
I surfed them both on that morning, kinda okay, wild swells at Granites, big scary kegs at Tea Tree, Nationals was definitely the best of it...

I saw a guy ride a bomb from Tea Tree past the Pot. Then during the day there waves connecting from Boiling Pot to the main beach...700m rides. Crazy
Surfing Videos yeah it was an amazing day huh!
