What if you bought a video game collection 2 years ago and you sold some of the items in 2023… How would you write that off for cost of goods…?
For example if you bought (30) GameCube games for $1,000 and the total value is $2,000 and only sold some games in 2023 while others didn’ sell till the following year…
You would write off the cost of goods as what you paid for the items when you bought the collection. Hopefully that helps👍🏻
Hey I've been watching your videos for a while and have been taking your advices while also checking your eBay store from time to time.
I sell video games and consoles as well so I find this all really helpful.
I was just wondering what your take is on for having paid shipping on your listings? Do you think it affects your impressions and reach?
I'm asking because I've been experimenting with this for the last month and find having paid shipping sometimes can really hurt my sales but sometimes having paid shipping as opposed to free shipping means I get a few extra cents from the ebay seller discounts.
I only use paid shipping and I think its the better option as I do make extra on shipping with the ebay seller discounts on shipping labels 👍🏻

Dude, you need to improve your sell through rate. It looks like you sold 555 items with 4,700 + active items. With video games you should be able to sell 50% of your inventory each month. Are you using promoted listings?
Yup you definitely right but unfortunately most of my store is low value filler games and 600-800 of that is dvds. The newer games that Im picking up, that are a lot higher in value and have a lot more value, do sell usually within a month of picking them up. I do use promoted listings and that definitely helps👍🏻
