It finally happened, I drove a McLaren 720S in the Malibu Canyons and give you my thoughts...I bet you can guess what they are! Huge thanks to Clause at P-Zero World and Pirelli for the new tires on the N-Largo, what a difference!

I suspect this guy is being confused by the sound of the NLargo equalling speed. That 720 would absolutely rip it a new hole. Maybe the V12 comes back after 120mph but before that 720 will be gone.

Riptiide yeah I mean on track the turbo would be spooled for the majority of the time but it also depends on what track like the pista was 8 seconds faster on the Nurburgring but I feel like a track w less curves would lean towards the 720s

his mask is a bit different. You can see that his nostrils are still covered but definitely not as effective as completely covering the nose though.
yeah that pisses me off. makes me wonder what else he is complacent about in his business if he cant even put his make over his nose. i wouldnt go there for anything after seeing this. shows complacency.

Yep, no car can be as good as a Ferrari for him. He's unwilling to like anything else as he's too invested and used to Ferrari.
N-largo has 100 extra kW over the 720s
there is video on yt, n largo vs 720s , and 720s destroys nlargo by at least 5-6 car lenghts. Nlargo is maybe faster above 300 km/h to top speed.
All his gripes were only because he didnt educate himself on the functions before starting out.
@@StreetTruckinTitan wrong, McLaren has a crappy infotainment system. Even to operate the front lift - a VERY important feature, you have to go through several menus to find it. Should be a dedicated button so you can press it easily when you want. The car is great - the systems are not

Yeah Ferrari 488 goes 330 km/h while the 720S goes 341 km/h wish is Way faster. The 720s is actually almost as fast as a Mclaren P1.

Typical Ferrari owner, I personally Love Ferrari and drives a Porsche. But Ferrari owners think tooo highly of the brand. Like I do understand it from the brand value and marketing strategy they have to keep their second hand value. I do appreciate that but lets just face it.... they are not the fastest anymore....

Unless you own or ever have owned a car you realize how difficult it is to even get to know their specs and what speed they run. Im glad Michael shows us these cars because i have never heard or seen them and this helps me learn new things about cars. Anyways this is my spill and you can disagree with it.

The idea of the paddle shifters that move with your wheel only works if you keep your hands in one place (as you should) not keep wondering with them on the wheel on the smallest turns. The only moment you need to change your hand position is when you're parking or doing a U turn :)
Doesn't this 720 model have up and down shifts on both paddles?
I was trawling to find just this. If he had an idea of how to drive, he'd know not to shuffle his hands, which is why he's finding a few windy corners so challenging in a car that should eat them.
I have a tendency to do hand over hand method myself in turns that aren’t aggressive.and had an rx8 with the paddle shifters. I had to train myself muscle memory wise to stay “dialed in” at 10 and 2 when using the race paddles setting.
You’d be surprised how many of us practice poor driving habits. Or then again maybe you wouldn’t be 🤣🤣

The 720s is one of the fastest cars in production. It is an easy 1/2 sec quicker to 60 mph and a full second faster in the quarter than the N-Largo. The N -Largo also weighs nearly 1/2 a ton more. Michael is awesome but 720s is insane fast

Masks are for closed environments, where there are more people, like public transportation or like in stores.
And yes, it has been said many times by others: Michael has no idea how fast that 720S really is. It is much faster than the also much heavier N-Largo.
They were wearing masks outdoors due to the air pollution from the forest fires.

Leon Henry I mean the 0-62 is probably the only thing the N largo has on the McLaren by a tenth of a second but around a track my money's on the mclaren and they're also known for being comfortable and easy to daily, much more than the n largo is I'd expect and all that for a fraction of the price

Ferrari N largo:0-60 time down to an even 3 seconds
Mclaren 720 0-60 mile-per-hour run in only 2.39 seconds
The Turbo makes it feel slower. Whereas F12 N largo has that instant power. Stats don’t mean everything. You need to drive these machines to really understand.

You can tell Michael doesnt drive the canyons much. He’s feeding the wheel, the way the mclaren s paddles are are designed to not feed the wheel and instead cross your arms ect. And its slower than an n-largo??? My arse is it, the 720 has a 0-60 of something silly like 2.3 seconds.
Super easy to look up, and if you do you will realize it actually does it in 2,9 seconds.

@@jonathanjohansson7061 Car manufacturers ALWAYS play down certain performance stats so as not to look silly. Look at the huracan's suggested 0-60 of 3 seconds when it has been proven to do it in 2.4. Independent car journalists state the most accurate times.

Yes thats theory for driving normal car but in supercars you can shift in corners since you get to max rpm in matter of seconds
@@locasenior8229 yeah good point but only in a long corner and then you can reach the shifters because you don't move the steering wheel so much , if you move the steering wheel more than a quarter turn it's a tight one you won't shift and drive it second gear or you are parking 😂

Producer micheal inspired me to buy a watch. I'd never owned a watch until these videos. After I bought my watch and wore it, the feeling was incredible and at the time my significant others birthday was approaching and I couldn't think of a gift and I went considering how good a watch felt for me ill buy her a watch aswell and she loved it also. Now we are both really love and appreciate watches so thank you.
Paddle shifts on the Mclaren are in the right place Michael, same as the AMG GT. If you're driving a car so quickly you need manual mode, you shouldn't be moving your hands around on the wheel, that way you always know where straight ahead is and the shifters will always be under your fingertips. If you're driving on a public road and the bends are so tight you need to move your hands, you should in automatic mode and not using the paddles.
Mclaren have been plagued by several issues such as reliability, quality control and depreciation. Having said that, I've watched a few drag races between Ferrari and Mclaren and for the most part, the Mclaren has taken a convincing win. In a drag race between the 720 and Nlargo, I think the 720 will either keep up or even just beat it.

Nice. Been up that road many times myself. The shift paddles ARE supposed to follow the wheel. That's especially useful when you're on the track and have to accelerate out of corners.

Also, I'm no pro driver, but I believe you're not supposed to move your hands around like he is in the turns. So the paddles moving with the steering wheel wouldn't be an issue if you kept your hands on the wheel.

Hey Micheal i just remembered, Range Rovers have the same paddle shifts as Mclaren, they also rotate when you turn the steering wheel.

Love how he always says “X car isn’t faster than my ferrari”, but you can look up all the acceleration specs and the mclaren very clearly smokes the N-Largo on both straights and turns 😭😂
This is how I feel when I upgrade to Michelin's at Discount Tire.
What I love about those fancy cars isn't the performance. A basic Kia or Ford can be pushed to really amazing levels (that is fact lol). What I love about fancy cars is the details, like the color of seat stitching, exactly matching the color of the steering wheel stitching. Normally one company makes the seat, and another company makes the steering wheel. It cannot be that hard to give both companies the same thread (from the same thread supplier). Kia, Ford, etc, often don't do that. I cannot imagine it costs that much extra to make details perfect during a cars production, maybe it does.

When I canyon drive ain't no way I can keep my hands 'properly' on the wheel. I personally hate wheel-mounted paddles. There's a reason Ferrari, Lambo, and AM mount them on the column.
Not sure if that's because he was unable to adjust his seat and is miles away from the steering wheel. But if that's how he usually drives Adam surely should take him to a track and get him a coach to show him how to drive properly.
