    Uh, you can reuse them. Mechanics just bend the tabs back past origin and snug socket over shaft and tap it home.

    If you bend it back they are not secure enough to be reused?

      If you can get them off by bending them slightly without the material stressing too much, you can reuse them. I find however that the amount of time it takes to accomplish that is more expensive than 30 cents. Also they end up breaking half the time anyway.

    For the cost of these movements, they should go back to the old tried-and-true methods of retaining the winding arbors.
