GENERAL SANTOS CITY- As part of its commitment to provide quality healthcare services and state-of-the-art facilities to this community, General Santos Doctors Hospital (GSDH) proudly announces the opening of a bigger and more complete GSDH Cancer Center. This marks another significant milestone in the history of GSDH as a trailblazer in the healthcare industry in SOCCSKSARGEN.
The GSDH Cancer Center opening ceremony took place last April 21, 2024, at the GSDH Cancer Center Building followed by a short program at the GSDH Medical Suites Multipurpose Hall. Honorable Mayor Lorelie Pacquaio, alongside GSDH President and Medical Director Dr. Daniel G. Yap and GAP Oncologist Dr. Enrico Tango, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event also brought together key stakeholders, community leaders, oncology medical experts, and cancer advocates to celebrate the advancement in oncology care in General Santos City.
GSDH Cancer Center is expected to elevate cancer treatment standards in SOCSKSARGEN and its neighboring regions with its Radiation Therapy and Brachytherapy, the first and only brachytherapy in Region 12. It is manned by a dedicated multi-specialty team of healthcare professionals who will develop a customized treatment and deliver compassionate care to every patient.
