- Fly with our helicopter on a circular trip from Whitechapel through North London, passing some of London’s most famous landmarks on your journey. This dialogue-free flight offers you a chance to unwind and see London from a whole new perspective.
What your specialist team do on a daily basis responding to the critical and giving them life saving treatment thoughout London is truly amazing thank you all for your vital service. brilliant video.🙏
+1! Truly amazing
Everyone in their homes are on their community Facebook groups all asking the same question: Why is the helicopter over my house?
😂😂😂😂
@@airspeed_alivegreat video thanks for this road trop through London 😊
Why does the pilot reverse away from the helipad after take off and then fly forward? Is it to protect the people on the
roof from the rotor wash or...?
It’s a procedure known as a Category A take off. In the event of an engine failure, or other technical issue that prevents departure, the flight crew have a cleared area to return the helicopter to - and can maintain a visual on the site throughout the departure procedure too.
@@RupesF That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the explanation.
You guys job is very meaningful! This is my 3rd year as a Londoner and I noticed this charity and service through one of your support incident in Harrow late 2023! Thanks all your work in 2023 and happy to have you guys in 2024! Though it's isn't an easy year for most Londoners but I'm still wish my little donation could be contributive! :) xx
Please more! 😍
Thanks for this, I thoroughly enjoyed it 🥰
Great video!
Thanks for sharing
Why did take off backwards and then go forward? Thanks for sharing and regards from Brazil.
thats because if he has a engine fail he can see were he took of from. and then land.
Thanks for this thrilling ride. Loved the landing. I did not catch even a single palace though. Next time?

Class dream job
Next time can you please include the intercom conversation and ATC.

❤
Well done to you all
You have all the time two pilots onboard?
no. one pilot a critical paramedic and a doctor or 2 critical paramedics
please see attached information about it from my local air ambulance charity northwest air ambulance Space is limited on board, but we carry all the vital equipment we need. In total there are three North West Air Ambulance helicopters. Each has a crew of three, one pilot, and either one doctor and a critical care paramedic, or two critical care paramedics.
@@Jakob.n.h180 ah ok yea same as here in Austria, thx ;)

I don't live near to London but I got my bearings with the Emirates, the old Highbury and Ally Pally on the nose.
Interesting how the Swiss flag is used by many countries as an lifeguard / safety flag ! 🙄

Correct! From the Autumn of 2024, however, our teams will be moving to Airbus H135's.
@@londonsairambulance1Any specific reason why or did they just win the contract? I've heard NOTAR is quite sluggish compared to usual rear rotar or Fenestron, is that why? Thank you.
@@londonsairambulance1 guessing that is the eurocopter airbus 135 oe for short ec135
@@londonsairambulance1 I bet you guys will miss navigating with that KLN90! :P How do you even upgrade that database on that thing anymore?
