it's not as bad as it's shown. early game it's a bit difficult to gather resources, but that's because your only need to gather what you need at that time. the best part of the mod is it make you really think hard on what stats to get, what engrams to select, and what creatures to tame. best tip I can give - never go back to loot your body.
I've been running it since it came out in 2020 and just recently my friends and I (10 players in total) finally beat the entire game+DLC maps with hunted installed and 4 other mods - structures plus, ark additions, krakens better dinos and immersive taming.
Why are ark 100 day challenge youtubers so underated! You deserve more subs for the amount of time you suffered

this mod is how i would imagine Ark 2 working especially with the egg stealing rather then wiping up some arrows with weird green tips that magically knock out a Dino the size of a 5 story build let alone shoving berries or meet up its ass

everybody be talking about the hunted but what about foreword-myth? you have to get element to tame most of the creatures in the mod so you need to beat the map you are playing on and then you need to actually find out a way to kill the queen of blades (foreworld-myths most powerful boss) that i spent hour with an autoclicker and slomo 10 active meaning the game was at 10x speed so i effectivley spent ten hours biting it and it wasnt even dead and if you stop attacking it for half a second its full hp again.
Doesn't sound very fun 😕

The hunted is not as difficult as it seems, the worst part is the beginning or, in my case, internet problems. The mod adds a lot of variety and changes the gameplay quite interestingly, but once you know a little about it, you can level up your character very quickly. In such a situation, I recommend making spikes, placing them around the brontosaurus so that they deal damage to it and waiting for it to die. When he falls, you can collect his skin and then I recommend that you start hitting him with your sword. You should then collect animal fiber which, although it spoils, increases very well during the rather long collection process. At least it worked until 2 months ago.
It's difficult as in everything takes forever to do anything. Want pretty much anything. OK kill something hold a button for 5 minutes and repeat. For me it only got easier after I tamed my wyvern and was finally able to kill on mass. But still had to hold that button for five mins ...
That's right, time runs out much faster in this mod because basic activities take a lot of time. But in RP, for example, they are very atmospheric and diversifying. I'm playing this mod myself now (you inspired me to start playing this mod again XD). so yes... let the fun begin!

The Hunted is one of my favorite SE mods! I'm honestly hoping beyond hope that it comes back for ASA. I doubt it'll happen, cause I think the mod author abandoned it. But hey. If someone ever comes around and remakes it or finds a way to get the source code and port it to the ASA, I'm gonna be a VERY happy man!
One of my goals will be to some how get this mod or a new variation of it in ASA

It probably would screw things up trying to run kbd with this mod? I like mods that blend well with vanilla creatures. Additional creatures, prehistoric beasts, ark additions etc. Building mods, and additional weapons/armor. Nothing crazy. Never played annunaki genesis, primal fear et etc
Yah kbd and hunted are not compatible with each other. They both rewrite the coding for dinos

Can you not use bolas in this mod? It would have made the early game way easier so you wouldn't be constantly killed by parasaurs and raptors.
You can use bolas but hide is incredibly difficult to gather early game. Arrows require feathers. And crafting is super slow. The Hunted mod doesn't seem to be optimized for lost island so it was hard to find basic beach dinos like dodos. For that easy early game resources to make bolaing a Para and head shotting it doable.

why do you narrate in a fast high voice but the last sentence you slow down and lower your voice. It's annoying as hell. other than that I enjoyed the video and gave it a like.
It's just an way I talk when I try to speak clearly and it's something I only recently started doing after I got covid. I'm aware and I'm not doing it on purpose and it's better in this video then the previous. The next video I have pretty much eliminated it. (I think)
