A sort-of Bugs Bunny; ending up in a street fiesta. Welcome to the New Mexico Architectural Experimentation station. There's one of just about everything, including that cool old train/bus station. Minerals in sequence are a bit unusual for street names. Old 66 (Central) is showing its' age, but there will always be some of it left. For a midday, it's not exceptionally busy, though the university and the air force base nearby will make up for that.
Cities on the east coast of the US offer vastly better city centers. I mean Albuquerque isn't a small city, it has a population of almost 600, 000. It's close to the size of Boston, yet it's DEAD. I live in St. Petersburg, Florida, a city of roughly 300,000, and the downtown is so lively. I could never live in the desert southwest. It looks so depressing there. I lived in California for 5 years, in San Diego. San Diego has a pretty nice downtown area, but they have a homeless issue and other issues native to California. The east coast and certain parts of the midwest are the best from an urban standpoint. Think about it - Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Orlando, St. Petersburg, MIami, Chicago...etc..
Thank you so much for sharing this video of downtown Albuquerque New Mexico

Downtown Albuquerque is kinda what I expected it to look like.
Same here. It looks very depressing.
City put alot of money into improvements of central avenue and downtown
Maybe they moved to Phoenix looking for a brighter future. Looks good.
