Girl of My Dreams of course. Then Burn and Wandered to LA actually.
Suga (aka Min Yoongi) is part of BTS' three-member rap line. The other two are RM (aka Namjoon) & J-hope (aka Hoseok). All three are brilliant rappers in their own right, but Suga is phenomenal and he did not repeat any Juice lyrics previous to his part. He composes all his own songs including writing his own lyrics for his portion of a collaboration. That's one reason why they're usually in Korean. Everybody knows this going in, Juice is no exception. They collabed on a very good song for BTS six months before Juice's untimely passing. I'm pretty sure Juice wrote his own lyrics for that song too. To get a slight taste of Suga's talent, react to Agust D's (solos recording name) title song Agust D, on his self-titled first solo mixtape, and Daechwita from his second mixtape Agust D2. I will bet money that you'll enjoy both songs & look for more. These are strictly rap (of course he IS a rapper). He sings very well too. I need to find the best example of his singing voice and I'll send you that recommendation. Thanks if you get a chance to react to these... Appreciate you

Juice Wrld was featured on the song All Night with two of the rappers from BTS...Suga and RM. Most BTS songs have rap. They aren't really pop in the songs they write. The English songs they've done were either written entirely by other people or mostly by others. Their Korean stuff is so diverse with everything from EDM, hip hop, R&B, etc. Regarding kpop, a lot of people mistakenly think it is a genre of music...or Korean pop. It's not. Kpop is more of an industry that blends nearly any genre of music with choreography, fashion, visual media and bundles it up into one audio/visual package. Two of the BTS members were underground rappers prior to joining BTS and they started off as a hip hop group. BTS isn't like typical male groups where you have one super star and the rest are support characters. BTS consists of 7 superstars who are insanely talented. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. One of the rappers was a street dancer. One of the vocalists was the top student in contemporary dance at a Performing Arts high school. The tree rappers all have mix tapes, produce and write. Suga is an amazing pianist and composer. Two members are actors. All have written and produced songs. All but the youngest member have gotten 4 year college degrees and the youngest is taking college courses working towards his degree too. There isn't a harder working group of men, and they put in years of hard work to get where they are now. You should react to more of their music. I would start with Room Live Festa 2021 because it offers a medley of clips from different songs through their 8 year career. It really shows how diverse they are.

Juice was singing about falling in love. SUGA was singing about falling out of love. There’s a contrast there.

  • @nadyvina
    @nadyvina 2 ปีที่แล้ว +271

Hi! I liked the reaction, I've noticed that no one shared the lyrics to the song, this is SUGA's part
"Another name for love is blue
What’s refreshing can otherwise feel cold
Love always accompanies loneliness Even when together, the loneliness is still present
    I don’t need it anymore
At times, like a madman, laughing a lot, crying a lot
But that too was me, so I’m grateful to you in this way
    We fought a lot too
Not with the carrot, but the stick
    Too extreme a chemistry
    They’re all past happenings now
Love, at its end, ends with the realisation that it was in fact love..."
I really would love for you to react to his mixtapes D1 and D2.
Also RM's RM and Mono mixtapes.
    And J-hope Hopeworld mixtapes.
The three of them are the rappers in BTS, each has very different styles from music production to lyricism.
It would be really fun to see you approach BTS like and see how this blends with the BTS's project and sound. Might blow your mind once you get there.
I would suggest for you to do it like this
    RM -RM (2015)
    AGUST D (SUGA) - D1 (2016)
    J-hope - Hopeworld (2018)
    RM - Mono (2018)
    AGUST D - D2 (2020)
We are expecting a Hopeworld 2 in the next year because J-hope has been hinting and teasing about this ever since he left US some days ago because they are taking break until march 2022. And people are suspecting of D3 by AGUST too, because we were left on a cliffhunger last year after the video of Daewchita was dropped and "AGUST D has been seen" (at some point you might understand this).
About what you asked, my favorite songs from this album are Burn, Doom and Girl of my dreams. The first one because of the production, musically cinematic, same as the second one and the lyrics that are very related to Girl of my dreams as a sequel and end of the story telling in Doom. Another aspect of the whole album that I loved was the use of liquid distortion on the electric bass and guitars, and of course the guitars without distortion everywhere.
I was wondering why SUGA might have accepted this song and not others closer to his own topics like mental health and dealing with the everyday life. Morover he adapted to Juice's general style, I can only think about "People" and "28" as songs closer to this sound when it comes to his rapping style. He is better known for his fast, emotional and agressive delivery, personally, regardless of the great artist that he has mentioned as influeces I hear in his way of rapping and writing that Eminen from "8 miles", "When I'm gone" and "Cleaning out my closet" but a little more agressive and in korean (so you'd definitely need good translations, I'd recommend Doolset for them, since there is a lot of wordplay and nuances). Which is what attracted me to BTS in general SUGA and rapline, and of course the super great singers.
By the way, if you ever get to react to BTS take this advice, they have seldom pop songs, they are rather a hiphop, R&B, R&J group that turns out to be closer to a conceptual, experimental and progressive multidisciplinary form of art, so the advise to be openminded.
See you around and good luck.

This isn’t SUGAs usual style. He’s known as the brutal fast rapper of the group. Suga and RM are underground rappers. His style reminds me of Eminems. He’s Korean and he has a deep voice. There are 3 baritones in BTS. RM the leader and main rapper has a very deep voice. V a vocalist is also a natural baritone, and has the widest range. Deep to really really high.d
BTS is made of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. The rappers write, and produce most of their songs. BTS is known for their deep lyrics. (Their recent English songs are senseless bops to uplift fans during the pandemic).

Suga is a Korean music producer, songwriter, rapper and ofc member of BTS. As a song writer, Suga is known for his lyricism, they are deep and well thought out even in his rap verses. People find comfort in Suga's songs too so he and Juice World have something in common.

great reaction! so im more of a fan of bts than juice wrld so wanted to help you out with some info.
bts are a 7 member korean group theyre the biggest artists not just group theyve just won artist of the year at the amas last month!!
bts has been a group since 2013 theres 3 rappers and 4 vocalists and they do all genres especially hip hop they started as a hip hop group and over the years tried other genres to the point now you cant just put them ina genre box. theyre not pop, theyre not hip hop, theyre not any specific genre theyre just bts lol
kpop is probably a term youve heard, sadly our media in the west has misinformed everyone on what kpop is. its not korean pop music its many different genres and no artist or group can be put in a box especially not bts.
most koreans even say bts cant be defined by kpop at all at this point theyre world wide group who is equally famous everywhere.
kpop is idol music in korea which is seen as like disney so only certain age groups listen to it and the rest of korean population listens to other korean artists in all other genres. however bts has ALL ages listening to them worldwide. majority of their fans are 30+. i for example am 24.
bts write and produce their own music and all 7 have solo music too plus collabs like how suga is on this song.
you should really look into bts music cause im sure you will find something you like their poppy songs are what gets played everywhere due to them being in english but bts has 8 years worth of music in korean and japanese and they got big worldwide before ever making english songs.
please react to videos by xceleste to understand bts better like her introduction to bts video, their hardships 2013- 2021 and id also suggest reacting to bbygangs videos on bts and kpop for more insight.
i will watch all these reactions and i think many bts fans (armys thats our fandom name) would also. i love seeing people see what bts really is because of how misguided and predisposed people are with wrong information

BTS is a Korean group. Their songs are mostly Korean, they only have 3 English songs.. but in their Korean songs, they put English lines here and there...SUGA is a producer within their group, they also have in-house producers, but their company gave them freedom to write and produce their own music, their leader, RM, is the lyricist, the other rapper, jhope also helps with writing, well the rappers write their own verses in almost all of their songs, and the 4 vocalists also contribute in writing

If for fun you wanted to check out the music video for Daechwita ( with the English closed captions turned on). Or the self titled Agust D, although that music video is not as cinematic. While BTS have adapted more pop styles in recent years, their roots are more closely related to hip-hop&rnb. Suga has two (rap/hip-hop focused) solo albums out under the name AgustD if you ever want to check him out I recommend his most recent album "D-2". This is the second time they've worked together. Suga and RM (another BTS member) worked on another song with Juice titled "All Night".

I don't think BE has an overall more "pop" sound than previous albums. I feel it's just that they don't want to get "stuck" with any genre, and that includes hip hop. BTS have 3 rappers and 4 vocalist debut in 2013. They have rap, hip-hop, R&B, pop etc over 350+ songs so there is something for everyone. Usually when listening to BTS you turn on English subtitles or watch the lyrical video which they have out for the song so you can understand Suga part. Most people unfortunately think BTS is pop because that is only thing US radio plays because that is what there 3 English songs are. Oh I laughed, Yoongi is an amazing rapper, of course, his lyrics always touch the soul, but he also sings, rarely, but all BTS rappers can sing too. I imagine that for those who don't know, they are more familiar with the boys' boyband fame, and well, I understand that the first thing that comes to mind is "pop". Juvenile, etc. But BTS is much more than that, they are also a cute boyband, with beautiful lyrics and addictive beats, but also a versatile, complementary artist, between the members, where everyone is like a super artist in their own way, the that makes the group so diverse and unique, not only in terms of music style, but dance, personality. It's like there's room for every type of fan. They are one of the greatest artists of today because anyone can relate to their work, and to them as people themselves. You feel comfortable to like them, because besides being hardworking and talented, they are amazing people.

You've already checked so many of my boxes that i'm excited to see you react to more BTS if you give them a chance.
Whatever you know about BTS from western media I assure you is at least 80% misleading or completely false. They are not a boy group (like 1D, nsync, bsb, etc..), their music is not limited to pop, they are not popular because they are pretty/cute, and they do not appeal only to younger girls.
They are all master composers, lyricists, rappers, vocalists and dancers. Each of them can (and do) hold their own when performing solo, in smaller units or 2, 3 or 4 and when all 7 are together on a song.
Their label gives them freedom in putting out what they want especially on solo projects (songs or albums) and most of their songs are not love songs even if they might appear to be at first glance.
Their lyrics are what hooked this 35 year old Egyptian misic loving woman since 2018. I've never seen some of the topics they tackle in their music ever be used in a song ever.
If you are willing to dive deeper into their discography I recommend you turn cc for eng subtitles (avoid auto generated subs they never work) on their official music videos and for their b-sides or songs without subs check out the website doolsetbangtan she gives a lot of insight on Korean culture and references that are hard for non Koreans to understand. Another decent option would be Genius which also gives a bit of context for their songs.
By all means please avoid using color coded lyric videos as they are mostly incorrect and made by people who compete on who to put up a video faster rather than accurately.
Thank you and sorry for the long rant

Understated class again."I'll take your life away"..open eyed "I don't know about that"..perfect nut said. Don't try that at home kids. BTS has the color coded lyric version of this.

I'll subscribe coz I like your chill vibe. If you will start reacting to BTS, welcome to the rabbit hole then.. I've had preconceived notions about BTS before but those were just blown away by the sheer diversity of their music.. and the lyrics?? There's a reason you can find tons of videos that analyzes their songs and MVs because they are deep I promise. There are albums and songs influenced by philosophers, poets, artists, psychologists, books etc.. The rabbit hole is deep and sometimes might overwhelm when you first dive in, just know that these 7 boys and their company Bighit are true artists in every sense of the word. 😉

Lol...I love watching people with misconceptions about BTS coming in expecting only pop (yes, they do have SOME pop songs) and slowly learning that BTS is something else entirely. I had the same experience. I know you've reacted to a couple of other songs since this one... I'll be checking those out, too, just so I can watch the progression from "They're not in my wheelhouse" to "I didn't know they were like THIS." They have that effect. Thanks for making the effort to get to know our boys. I hope you end up appreciating them.

thank you for your reaction and being opened to check SUGA. I think calling BTS phenomena is not right (I get that's what you heard abt them in media). It's like putting in question the reasons why they r popular. They r popular because of talent + hard work, teamwork, the topics they r talking about. It resonates with people. And they r consistent in what they r doing and never once disappointed fans. They have no skip song in discography. Ofcs it may come in questions since I am a fan but a year ago I wasn't a fan and when I checked their music that's what was my impression and it just was proven right. Someone may not like their music Its fine but if you give it a try you may like it :)

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. I like the song. I missed Suga's singing on the 1st listen. But I heard it on my 2nd. He sounds great. Love the rhythm. Sad song but lovely in its' own way too. U had me laughing. Who knew he could rap, ROFL. Well he is the 2nd main rapper in BTS so, snorts. Did u know Suga recorded his part after Juice WRLD passed away. Also, did u hear their 1st collab? This was their 2nd. Later's. Have a good week.--NY USA 2019 Army💜

(btw, they are south korean, and most of their almost 300 songs and 14ish albums (in a wide array of genres) are in Korean or Japanese. with a few english songs and a teeny tiny sprinkle of spanish)

BTS are a South Korean Group that debuted as a Hip Hop Idol Group (under the K Pop umbrella), and they speak Korean. They also switch it up and add English Lyrics here and there. They do have three English songs, that are all their #1 Hot 100 hits. So everything you said you liked about Juice WRLD, I feel the same way about BTS. I haven't heard a song of theirs that I don't like. They are known for crossing and fusing many genre's, and they are heavily influenced by Classic Western/West Coast Hip Hop. I will link the lyric video if you are interested in the English Lyrics for this song. Thank you for the reaction.
