When we are talking about future ambulances I want to start hearing about solutions to help people who use wheelchairs especially power wheelchairs and scooters? I myself am legally blind and use a power chair. When I have had to be rushed to a hospital and I was out and about it really is very hard on me when I know I have to leave a mobility aid behind and am not only worried about my health but yet I am worried if my wheelchair will arrive when I do? Waking up in a hospital and looking over and seeing that the one important item that is part of my life like a healthy able body person's legs are to them and not seeing it? I went to the hospital and while there had to have my gallbladder removed in emergency surgery and the hospital lost my chair even know I arrived there in my chair? For 3 days this really didn't help? Could you imagine yourself being rushed to hospital via ambulance and not knowing if your mobility aid will be there when you arrive? There have been times in the past where I did go to the hospital via ambulance and by the time the ER took care of me I didn't have my chair so I could leave the hospital? Most people don't real size how important our medical equipment is and how it is part of our lives? It's important to make sure that this medical equipment is handled with care and safely?
