Go see videos of America in the early 1900's in New York or elsewhere. Every was wearing a nice suit or dress and people took pride. Now the majority of people walk around in their pajamas and are really into the "homeless" look. If nothing has changed then that is a huge improvement over how far we have fallen.

There's something magical about seeing someone gone now alive in the past, a simple video like this can become a treasure for those who value even a glimpse of their lost loved ones memory.

I don't like romanticizing the past as it veils the problems that transpired in those years. But I like seeing a fibre of the past just to get a glimpse of how things were before. Its nice to see how vibrant the shop signs were before and how clean things were. The saturated jeepneys surpised me. As someone born from the GenerationZ, it really makes me wonder if it's possible to see this Philippines in my lifetime. I'm hopeful it will for the incoming generations.

Nice to hear that sir. Ako naman for me best decade is 2000-2010 and i was born 1997. I just realized gnun nga sguro talaga no. Most people will say their best years are their younger years (from pre-school to high school) because life was so simpler in those times. Gadgets like cellphone are still not yet rampant in our era. We have social interactions with everybody. Christmas feels differently back then. Tipong simoy ng hangin at yung vibe sobrang magical. Tas dagdag mo pa na pproblemahin mo lang is mag aral at maglaro. Atleast for most of us. Kaya sobrang sarap balikan ng pagkabata. Compare mo pag nsa age 20 up ka na sobrang stressful at anxiety na nararamdaman mo dhl sa ibat ibang factors like responsibilities, goals in life, etc.

@@omniyambot9876 That's only natural. For every generation, people has a desire to go back in time. Even the people in the 80's, during the 80's, have wondered what it's like to go back to maybe the 50s and 60s; and people in the 50s have wondered what it's like to go back to the 1900s or something. Maybe it's better in the 70's but I don't have the right scale of time knowing that it's 20 years apart, there's a big difference. But anyways, thanks for your response. Same. My mom was about 8 in the 89's since she was born on 81'. I'm also curious to what she used to look and be like as a child living with her grandmother in the province...
