18 years ago together with one of my friends we visited Aleppo-Damascus-Beirut-Amman. This was a one-week trip, sometimes by car, by bus, hitchhiking and return by plane from Amman Airport. Entire trip was amazing although it was super hot on August days. Me with a baseball cap and backbags, slippers.. People was so friendly. And I love them all. My brothers and sisters.. Children in the old market and back streets of Damascus were super excited to talk with foreigners, some of them were only able to say 'hi, whats your name, how are you' they were so lovely. I think today they are almost mid-twenties.. Time flies btw. While children were busy with us, trying to sell something an old man came, speaking in Arabic said, 'Children, come on they are visitors, dont bother them, dont disturb them'.. I was so impressed but we were actually doing very good with those kids. After so much time. My friends in Syria some of them became refugees, their country had lost a lot of years literally for nothing but today I am hopeful. They do desire all the best. Who is reading my comment from Syria, please glorify your country, your people. Work hard guys. Wish you all the best. And who knows, see you soon.
