These are the kids of homes I want to see people squatting in. If developers want to build homes people can't afford and just sit on them, then they can deal with people living there for free.
its happening on the east coast too they keep building 600k+ houses in lower middle class areas that nobody that lives here can afford and it raises the cost of existing homes 150% over the last 4 years
I live in Missoula and we can’t afford to live on our own now. We rent a 2 bedroom home for $2600 a month and split it with my father-in-law. I would love to have my own place again one day
I guess it's just the price we have to pay for letting millions of people get free housing vouchers from other countries that are anathetical to our beliefs
Correction: We don't have a shortage of houses. We have a shortage of AFFORDABLE houses. This doesn't help when wages are stagnant and companies like Amazon treat us like garbage.
The only places that have not seen a reduced rate in rental prices are vail, aspen, and Steamboat when we skiing in aspen we rented a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom for $34,500 for one month great deal when you consider the hotel prices there are totally crazy ❤😮❤😮😊❤peace ✌
Im renting a 2bd apartment right now (with a roomie) for 1700 a month and it's about 1200sq ft. what the hell. that's not even getting into all of the utilities that come with a house, gas especially
@@balance555 yea i feel it, im in AK and I could not afford to rent alone anymore, cost of living has rapidly eclipsed what the average person my age (gen Z) makes. I had to be pulling 22/hr at 50+ hours a week to afford rent, utilities + phone bill, & car insurance, gas, food, and my medication. It's depressing.
Whoever has that kind of cash isn’t going to rent for that much for that little. America is going down the drain and homeless people are treated like criminals.
Would you prefer people live on the streets? You said stop renting as if homes are affordable to just buy or like people don't need a place to live in general.
@@PhotoJeticPoet there are affordable homes all around the country, outside of inflated housing price cities like NYC, SF, Chicago, etc…. Your logical fallacy is a false black-white fallacy
@lighthousej I literally live I the middle of no where MO,and this type of development is happening here too so give me an example that's more than "outside of a big city" WHERE are the affordable houses?
Real Estate Scam.
If I were able to make $145k a year, I wouldnt live in a tiny shack house.
You can’t afford better you’d need to make 147,000$ per year just to get the 1001 square foot house
Same bro
That was true in 2012
Now 145k will only get you this
Better buy a house

They need to make affordable tiny homes
It’s called greed.

The video mentions west coast. I imagine all of the building rules, regulations, inspections, etc cause these high prices
They are small but pretty inside. Not sure they are worth 4 grand a month. I wonder if people are actually renting them.
just save up people and buy full price.
Its like they didn't do their research before building
What a joke. America has gotten outta fuckin control
This will not be effective.
no upstairs, but the upstairs has a window?
There’s 2 different styles, one has a loft and is 1.15 million and the other is no loft for 1 million
Lol I'm buying 15 acres and a double wide for cheaper than that
Too much

Let them remain empty. WE control the supply & demand.

Absolutely not.
Ridiculous

California is paying less then 1 person can live on. They would need 1 or 2 extra adult to live in a place.

Dude has no clue how many people actually make that much money.
I hope they all set empty. The renters market is totally out of control.
you can blame blackrock

Housing is a joke
What is the name of the development company ? For research purposes
Tell millennials and zoomers stop moving there, stop renting and blaming everyone else except yourself for taking the rental bait
