Nathalie is totally broken - she will be on the rebound for a while now -- women rebound differently than men. For men, rebound means getting into a new relationship right away that usually doesn´t work out and then they keep going from relationship to relationship until they are healed and find one they feel connected to. For women, rebound means they can´t fall in love until the disappointment with the failed relationship gets out of their system. It may take months or years... so sad... As to weirdo Shake, Nick Lachey said it all -- these are not animals, these are human beings ------ which might explain why Shake chose to be a vet - subconsciously he knew he is not very good with communicating with humans...

Kelly and Kenny had a similar experience it seemed where they seemed to match kind of emotionally, but when it came down to it she really wasnt attracted to him, and I feel like they handled that much more maturely, becuase yeah there is an elememnt where you cant work through that, and I personally woulndnt WANT someone to "work through" not being attracted to me if we were together. With Shake though, its more than just him not being attracted to her, he kind of makes it HER issue that he wasnt attracted to her, and all season he makes it to be like this hardship he has to selflessly ENDURE, and HE was going to say yes, so for him to belittle her and make it seem like oh the experiment didnt work for him. Like its 100% fine if looks matter to you, they matter at least PARTIALLY to MOST people, and ultimately you want your partner to find you attractive, I dont want someone to love me DESPITE my looks, so I do get the point where maybe it comes down to looks are the big deal breaker despite everything else. I agree with Shake on Shaina possibly using Kyle to continue on the show. I find it nerving when people use illogical categorical propositions like Nick’s statement “NO ONE thinks like you. You’re hurting people.” Like Shake said a lot of hurtful things throughout the show, but that was not remotely one. A lot of people did think Shaina used Kyle. Also, in my opinion he was one of the realest ones on the show. He was even right about how attraction works and you can see this throughout the show. Shaina definitely wasn’t attracted to Kyle. Sal had to grow on Mallory when she saw his appearance. Etc
Nick was really just a damp washcloth the whole time. He was able to get hot headed and verbalize, but he never had enough spine to actually do anything about what made him upset. I did find it amusing that Shaina went from talking to Shayne about hooking up in the bathroom of a restaurant to using religion to breakup with Kyle rather than his appearance. I thought the other members were trying to keep pressure on Shake to avoid their own issues in the show.

The only point that I agree with him about is that love is not always blind and an emotional connection really isn’t always enough. Nick’s arguments are wrong bc the point of this show is to experiment whether love CAN be blind and for Shake, that’s obviously not possible (he might be better off going to a brothel to satisfy his ~ animalistic ~ hunger), and that in itself is a valid stance. Obviously, it doesn’t help that he didn’t really try after the pods and actively disparaged his fiancé’s appearance, but better couples have also tried and failed. It’s just unfortunate that the perspective is coming from the smelliest vegetable in the garden. The need to constantly disagree with Shake just because he’s insufferable is very tempting though.
Honestly, I think most people who have this perspective would have been wise enough (and had enough self-awareness) to sit this opportunity out. Personally? I couldn't do it. Physical attraction is just as important as an emotional, mental, and spiritual connection. I think his philosophy (strictly on love not always being blind) is perfectly fine but like Vanessa said just not on this particular show.
