I recently played this for a friend at the memorial service for his wife of 53 years who passed away last year. I hadn't played a solo piece in years so I was initially nervous, but agreed to give it a try for my friend. This was one of his wife's favorite pieces that she wanted played at her service. I had about a month to prepare, and played along with you many nights to get comfortable playing this for an audience in a church. I'm more of a hobbyist so I didn't play it as wonderfully as you, but I got through it as best as I could with your sheet music that I purchased. It meant a lot to her husband and her family who attended to hear it played live. I never had the chance to meet her in this life, but I like to think this music connected us in other ways. Thank you for making more advanced yet beautiful music accessible to amateurs like me so that others can enjoy experiencing it, too. Stay well! - Chris

Such a flawlessly brilliant rendition! Slower pieces like these appear easier to play but are in fact more difficult as notes, shifts and expressions come through much more clearly, hence there is no room to go wrong!
