    Great idea to support the neck with a radius block! I picked up a long one from Stewmac before tackling the neck screw holes for a new build. It's perfectly flat on the bottom and radiused(concave) on the top. Just made sure the neck was centered in the cradle of the radius, clamped it with the neck to the table, and used the press to drill out the pre-marked holes. Thanks for that tip!

    If it's a used neck you need to fill the preexisting holes up first. I've had the holes so close before that one or two invariably will wiggle into an old hole. Instead of gambling anymore I fill all the old holes before I even start. Wooden matchstick and Elmer's glue works pretty well. Tapered Dow pins work well too. Good video! I just thought I would mention that too. I know you already know that.

    Thanks so much. Very helpful. I‘ll be getting an Allparts Tele-Neck soon. So now I know what to watch out for. Very neat trick to line up the two e-Strings first for neck alignment. Hope all goes well. I like your place by the way:) peace from Germany.

    Good info but I was getting dizzy with you holding the phone and recording. You should put the phone/camera on a tripod.

    I'd like to see how to do this without any special tools besides a driller.

    Great vid . How deep have you drilled the neck holes and what diameter would you use ? Asking because I‘ve got a nice Göldo neck with lacquer finish , rosewood , to put it on my '78 Tokai Strat . Don‘t want to mess it up . Thanks

    Thanks for the video! Just a question, have you done any additional job after applying the waterslide decal? Like sanding the headstock and such..

    How did you determine how much depth to use on your bit for drilling into the neck? Is there a set amount for all Fender guitars and necks?

    • @markophonic
      @markophonic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Art, What I do is take the neck screw and neck plate and put the screw through the neck plate and guitar body and measure the length of the screw that is sticking out....the part that will be fastening to the neck.
