Hello, I am considering a purchase and wanted to ask about getting caught in poor weather for example rain? Is this something to be avoided or is it not something to worry about if caught in a downpour?
just be careful for the seat if it's made from material that isn't waterproof. For the rest avoid riding trough deep water or at least reduce speed if you need yo ride ttough. The batteries and electric components could be damaged

if you ride on sand or forrest paths there will be no problem. Only when the sand is very soft like on a beach, the traction wheels, these are the front wheels, will possibly get stuck in the sand. So best avoid beaches or places with very soft sand.

The speed depends from the country you are living in, but in Belgium the speed is max 15 km/u
The maximum range with a full charged battery is 70 km in the best conditions and with the most powerfull batteries.

Es ist am besten, das Ladegerät angeschlossen zu lassen, bis Sie losfahren. Und nur Meyra verkauft dieses Ladegerät.

Can i ask you how long need to charge? I need to ride it every day, the moment I get out of bed. So I will charge overnight, a lot of wheelchair needs 12-16 hours to charge, that is nonsense .. To get up after lunch ..
And I consider between the optimum 2 rs (15 km / h, the largest battery). Or I look after 4x4 Magic Mobility: Extreme X8. Do you have experience?
It depends on how much you have driven, whether the weather is cold or warm, and whether you drove slowly, climbed steep hills, etc. My batteries have a maximum range of 70 km and when they are completely discharged, charging takes at least 12 hour. If you have driven shorter distances, the charging time is considerably shorter.
Charging actually takes less time than you think, but at the end the charger performs a regeneration of the batteries, which makes it last longer. And if you really need your wheelchair urgently, you may occasionally pull out the charger before the full cycle is finished.
I only have experience driving the Meyra Optimus 2 and prefer it because of the speed of max 15 km/h and the range of ± 70 km. It is already my 3rd Optimus 2 and previously also had an Optimus 1 with a max speed of 10 km/h.
The Magic Mobility Extreme X8 looks good and may be better suited for all terrain due to its four-wheel drive, but has a lower top speed. And I can't find anything about its range.
An Optimus 3 is also being worked on, but this project is not yet for the first few years. In the meantime, I remain faithful to the Optimus 2

Well, I need a wheelchair for all-day use, both indoors and outdoors. I sit on it every day all day. I know that a lot of people at home ride in a mechanical wheelchair, and they take an electronic one when they go out, so they don't deal with charging .. I need it to charge when I go to sleep, and when I get up it is charged and ready .. That's charging time around 8-10 hours - It depends if I have to go somewhere in the morning and get up early. On a normal day, I guess that I will go about 5-10 km, if I go somewhere on a trip or beer, with a dog or something, I would just need endurance optimus. Especially in the summer when I go on hikes uphill, to castles, lookout towers, etc. Now I have a quickie jive m (six wheel) with a range of about 20km .. But in reality it does not go more than 15, uphill about 8km. Last time I went to the lookout tower and I was on one line from ten lines of the battery.
So I'm really looking forward to the new truck, and this time I really want a good machine. So I choose between the optimus 2 rs with max battery type and 15km / h motors. A The Magic Mobility Extreme X8.
With the optimus, I'm afraid of the turning radius because in some places I drive at home as I already wrote, and I miss the lift seat, and it's not a 4x4 drive ... But on the other hand, the speed of 15km / h, and 70km range completely compensates.
At The Magic Mobility Extreme X8, I'm afraid of reaching, they write about 20km. Which the reality is always lower so it's a lot bad, but again it's a 4x4 and I probably don't have to explain it, moreover the power of 4x 700watts is also extreme it's a total of less than 3000watts.
And another advantage is that it has a seat lift (I use it at festivals, at bar tables, etc.) and the last advantage is that it has all wheels big while the optimum has smaller rear wheels ..
So I don't know which one to take :-D ..
@@johnystar5758 The Optimus is actually a real outdoor wheelchair and not exactly ideal for maneuvering indoors in a small space. It is indeed the smaller rear wheels that twist and it sometimes takes some steering skills to get around just like one with a forklift. I do indeed have the heaviest batteries and often drive long distances of 40 km and more. Then it is fun to drive at 15 km/h. So if you only use the chair for short trips, the charging time will never exceed 6 or 8 hours.
It might also be interesting to look out for the Meyra iChair RS. It also has large wheels and a top speed of 13 km/h. Its range is ±45 km and the seat rotates around its axis. Ideal for indoor and outdoor use:www.meyra.com/wheelchairs/e-power/e-power-wheelchair-details/product-469/

Dag Luc, hoe presteert deze stoel op het strand. We weten allemaal dat we, om het hardere stuk zand te bereiken, nu eenmaal door het mulle zand moeten… Ben benieuwd hoe de RS2 dat trekt?
Zoals met veel elektrische stoelen vermijdt je best stranden (of soortgelijke locaties) waar het zand zacht ligt. Deze stoel heeft voorwielaandrijving en een differentieel, wat betekend als één voorwiel geen traktie meer vind, het andere sneller begint te draaien en je bijgevolg vast komt te zitten.
Ik vermijdt dus mul zand en als ik er toch door moet, dan met een harde aanloop.
Voor de rest trekt deze stoel zich overal doorheen.
Er bestaan 4x4 aangedreven stoelen, maar niet met een top van 15 km/u én een actieradius van 70 km.

Yes, sir. I have made a few trips of more as 70 km, but to do that you have to drive very economic. Slowly departures when you stand still, if the road goes upward let the speed drop to 10 km/u, etc. Just like riding with a car and try to reduce the fuel consumption as much as you can. Not much of a test on all smooth roads, paths and bridges. It is an off road wheelchair so would of been good to see that being tested.
I prefer to ride on smooth roads, but believe me, the chair can manage driving trougfh rugh terrain.
Maybe I will film this in the future, but I prefer a clean wheelchair instead of a dirty one
Ребят подскажите кто-нибудь менял на коляске Optimus 2 RS, дифференциал . стоит мотор 950ватт . то есть мост совсем другой . накрылся дифференциал, хрусты и пробуксовки, в масле эмульсия и образив металла. Разобрал. но полностью вал не могу вынуть, какой то стопор есть. пока бензином все отмываю.
сальники буду менять , и нужно вынуть дифференциал, но не могу понять почему вторая часть колокола не съезжает с вала.
от чего вообще дифференциал? или всё-таки это свое производство у них?
