  • This is our first ever breeding attempt with GTPs. This is our experience, retrieving the eggs from the female and getting them set and ready for incubation.
We show our incubation process as we go through the 50 days. Showing you our pros and cons, and different ways to improve incubation. One main lesson we learned was one fan is enough. Next go around we will be removing one fan considering this time we had two inside the incubator. We also ended up adding a water chamber on the bottom of the incubator to create more humidity and an air stone was added into it to create more humidity flow through out the incubator.
Hope you guys enjoy and learn with us as we continue to learn and improve as well. If you have any questions please feel free to comment below.

What was the humidity level in your incubator for the eggs?and how about the egg box?

I know this is an old video, but you really dont want the probe inside the egg bin. the eggs produce their own heat that will throw off incubator readings if you have probe inside. so the incubator will basically shut off, plummet temp and by the time temp gets down for enough to turn back on, temps would've changed drastically, causing extreme spikes and ruining eggs

So what your saying is don’t use an incubator?

@danieljason368 What? No I said don't put your probe inside of the egg box. Of course you need an incubator. But put the probe on the lid or side of the box the eggs are in.

@SnakeCakeExotics I have personally tested it with multiple Sims and thermometers. It can get up to 4-5 degree difference by the time the thermostat kicks on. It'll drop low, fire on late, then when it continues to heat, get way too hot by the time the probe catches it. I had mine set to 85.5f and it would swing from 81-90. 90 is a quick way to kill eggs
