I was wanting to know if you could do a video on how to hook up the hay equipment and how they work and how to get them ready for hay season and a walk around and an overview of the tractors and hay equipment?
Yep, it does make some good looking bales. We run both our 566 and 569 at 66 and get 68” bales. Anything bigger seems to cause problems. We use 67” x 7000’ net wrap from Orscheln’s. Buy it in bulk and they give us a discount. We did have problems with the net wrap wrapping on the rubber roller, but we added a static discharge chain and put baby powder on the roll of net wrap. KOW, but we’ve had no problems with wrapping this year.
Why do guys with John Deere balers always say they are great, but then have a bunch of little issues and idiosyncrasies that they can’t seem to fix. If my New Holland didn’t make a bale over 68” , and I had to carry a bottle of baby powder I would trade it in.
Like watching your videos..i pull a 569...best baler I've ever hooked on to...one thing I've found that helps the net wrap is dousing the net with baby powder..keeps the rollers dry and slick...i have very few issues with tge wrap...ive had a 530..566..567 and 569..this is my 43 rd consecutive yr of haying..i have seen it all including losing a baler i was operating...guy who owned it filled the fire extinguisher with 50/50 anti freeze..i caught the fire when it first started in the roll that the belts are staggered on...hit it and whoosh..it exploded...ethanol glycol is flammable..burned the baler and 83 5×5 bales and a 35 acre field...i managed to get the baler unhooked...if i can ever help you out id be more than happy to share my time pulling a Deere..
Oh man! That sounds like a bad deal! It seems like once I got everything in spec my baler has been really good to me. I just notice the edges snag wrap sometimes but I suppose that's common
One of these days you’ll get a chance to run a Vermeer rake. And when you do? You’ll throw rocks at those dirt diggin big wheel rakes! You’re right the pickup on a Deere is wider then the Vermeer. And it makes a difference.
Is there a reason people don't run shallow/mid deep wells out there into a tank and irrigating off it? I never see anyone up north irrigating hay fields
JM Farm & Cattle up here in central western SoDak north of the badlands we live in a little valley and nearly every rain shower splits and goes right around us and then it merges back together. Mother Nature does some crazy mean things to people lol
wow love the new rake , fantastic machine
Got them post notifications on! That’s how you get first, you earn it.
Great stuff you hit that diff well super
Camping gets er done

I've hear of people doing the chain thing. Makes sense to me because we use to run them on combines too!
JM Farm & Cattle we run a static chain on our combine, that’s what made us try one on our balers.

Might ought to lighten your floatation on your rake a little. Looks heavy
Be safe out there buddy see you next time
You too! Thanks!

Great video
Thanks!
Nice job 🇲🇽👍
Thank you!
Nice video 👍 an really good lookin bales 💪
Thank you!
I've got a 568 with 15000 plus bales on it, and have never had an issue with netwrap

I can't wait to try a vermeer rake. I wish the vermeer baler had the deere pickup
JM Farm & Cattle and you haven’t tried a New Holland, they are better then both in that department!
Loosing a lot of leaves it looks like......... try and do it in the morning like 4am-7am will help save your leaves and make better quality hay
Usually do most of it is dirt. We had high humidity to help and rain coming in. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do
Are John deer baler broke 5 times already this year

Just curious why you run your loader way up high.
How many bales do you make a season? A John Deere 568 is an amazing baler. We love our 566. Thanks for the video.
Cheers 🍻from Prairie Sunset Ranch☀️
Are you guys ok you haven't met a video for a while was everything okay
What brand netwrap is that? Looks great
Swanson net wrap!
@@JMfarmandcattle thank you! Don’t know why I didn’t recognize it lol. Beautiful stuff
@@JMfarmandcattle but yeah deeres coveredge is much wider than anyone else’s coveredge. Don’t know why, just is.
Is there a way to adjust how wide that rake goes?
To an extent yes. I will be doing a video on the rake in the near future going over the whole thing pros and cons
will you do another equipment tour
I could pry work that out!
Have you ever tested your hay.......wonder what the ash content is?
I have not
Where’s Jesse been???
the wheels look like they are going backwards
How close do you live from a friend of mine, Dean simonton
I'm not sure I don't recognize the name
@@JMfarmandcattle he used to have a couple planes and run the bar in Campbell
Its dusty, ya need rain. Its love/hate thing.
We need one in a bad way! Everytime it goes right around us!

Set too low with the rake
Typical custom 66inch-68in make em 72 so people actually get there moneys worth 64in with Vermeer!! That’s a rip off man
