@@maclanwright the games shown in this video were just the opening qualifying matches in this game changers tournament. in the end, dsg never qualified because they lost their other matches. this team wasn't paid and it was more a clout team, so it was pretty low stakes if they lost imo. but it's troll because toast reacted to their elimination match by immediately tweeting out fake-sad announcements that dsg was dropping all the players 😅
it was hilarious on stream, Toast was meming on how C9 dropped their players and chat were backing him up 🤣 Syd and Tenzin were also in chat typing when he was writing the dropping announcement 😂🤣🤣
Watched it live and it was incredible! I'm so impressed by how well they did considering they only had little over a week to get scrims in. Best part of it all was Toast giving them all the support in the world and cheering them on! His commentary was hilarious!
on the other hand, it's also good depending on the perspective you're looking at. The team was against others who trained longer than a week for tourneys. While hype for DSG, it would make GC less serious IF an one week trained team manages to win against most of the pro teams who's their job to be the best of the best in Valo(aka they would look like a joke if they struggle against content creators really badly). DSG did amazing. They showed despite one week of training(with only 4d of scrims), they managed to 2-0 a pro team. Managed to force the (rumored) second best pro team in this event to ask for a time out after DSG dominated the first 5 of rounds(I forgot, it was the 4 or 5round I think). Let's also not forget that DSG was handicapping themself by streaming it. Even with 5min delays, it wouldnt be surprising if the opposing teams had people listening to them and leaking strategies to them. So it's honestly a perfect ending. DSG showed everyone that content creators can be as good as "real pros" if they really want to, while GC still looks intimidating.

They can't go on. There are multiple reasons, first they are streamers they need to stream more, and if they try for gc2 then they not only have to commit 8-10 hours practicing but also they can't stream it because of comms and strategy leaks. Second, they are competing for fun and there were too much backlashes on twitter, now if they try to compete again it will increase a lot. Third, kydae has a very severe health issue, she mentioner in the last map she was feeling very sick, so she could barely consentrate at all. And many more reasons. I am happy they gave their best with 4 days of scrims and trying competing to the best of their ability. I was hooked even though it was like 2 am in my country when their match starts. They are awesome, and hopefully toast will hire a proper pro girls lineup by gc2 or gc3.
