We have a snow blower but I loved to shovel. I messed up my back in a car accident 11 years ago and shoveling, raking and mowing the lawn are the things I can no longer do that I miss the most.
A little tip: Wax the shovel, let it "cure" in a warm place; polish it well, then keep it cold - snow won't stick. Repeat as frequently as needed. And don't eat before shoveling. Eat light afterward. Take care.
